        Steven G. Segal, 52, is an Executive-in-Residence/Lecturer at Boston University’s
School of Management where he developed and teaches a graduate level course in private equity
and leverage buyouts. He’s the faculty advisor for the Master of Science in Investment
Management, MBA and Undergraduate Equity Funds, the MBA and Undergraduate Investment
Clubs, and the Security Analyst Society Investment Research Challenge team. Mr. Segal is also
a Special Limited Partner of J.W. Childs Associates, where he helps guide the strategic direction
of several of the firm’s portfolio companies through his role as a director and is a co-investor
with the firm. He has provided expert court-room testimony in multi-million dollar litigation for
third parties.

        In 1995, Mr. Segal was a founding partner of J.W. Childs Associates, a Boston-based
private equity investment firm that raised $3.5 billion of equity capital. The firm focuses on
investing in middle-market growth companies, primarily in the consumer products, health care
services and specialty retail sectors. Since 1995, the firm has completed more than 40
transactions with a total transaction value in excess of $11 billion.

        In his capacities at the firm, Mr. Segal had broad responsibilities for raising capital from
leading institutional investors, and for originating, analyzing, negotiating, financing and
managing leveraged buyout transactions. Mr. Segal was actively involved in the strategic and
financial policy of several of the firm’s portfolio companies and in the investment decision
process for all of the firm’s investments.

       Mr. Segal was previously a Managing Director at Thomas H. Lee Company, a Boston-
based private equity investment firm, from 1987 to 1995 where he had similar responsibilities.

        From 1982 to 1985, Mr. Segal served as a Senior Tax Accountant with Arthur Andersen
& Co.

        Mr. Segal serves or has served on the Board of Directors of The NutraSweet Company;
W/S Packaging Corp.; InSight Health Services, Inc.; Universal Hospital Services, Inc; Quality
Farm & Country, Inc.; Jillian’s Entertainment Corp.; International DiverseFoods, Inc.; National
Nephrology Associates, Inc.; Big V Supermarkets, Inc.; Maax, Inc.; Ghirardelli Chocolate
Company; Fitness Quest, Inc.; Round Grille, Inc. (d/b/a FiRE + iCE); and Sweet Apparel LLC
(d/b/a BootyPop) and is on the Advisory Board of NextView Ventures, a seed stage venture
capital firm.

         Mr. Segal is a member of the Alumni Board of Governors and a Regional Cabinet
member for Washington University in St. Louis, Chair of its Eastern Region Scholarship
Initiative, and was named a 2013 Distinguished Alumni of Washington University’s Olin School
of Business. He is a Board Member of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Boston and Co-Chair
of its 2013 $48 million Annual Campaign; a past Trustee of Temple Emanuel and Chair of its
Endowment Committee; and a Trustee of Hebrew College and past Chair of its Finance
Committee. He is a 23-year rider in the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge bike ride for cancer
research and has raised over $1.5 million for the cause.

       Mr. Segal holds a B.S.B.A. degree from Washington University in St. Louis, an M.B.A.
degree from Harvard Business School, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
