The Financial Template Tool consists of a series of pre-built Excel spreadsheets that use data downloaded from the FDIC database (via their web site at no cost to you) to produce insightful analyses of individual or groups of banks, thrifts, and BHCs. The Financial Template Tool provide you with: Sophisticated financial performance analyses (trends, ratios, peer groups, etc.) Professional looking tables, graphs, and charts. Line item names in “plain English,” not FDIC abbreviations. Clear step-by-step instructions, The ability to do these analyses any time you want at no additional cost. And, you save money and time using these templates by avoiding the data subscription services and “big data books.”
AVAILABLE FINANCIAL TEMPLATES

Trend: Four period trend analysis of a single bank, thrift, or BHC with dozens of ratios and commentary on direction of trend. Peer Group: Four period comparison of a single bank, thrift, or BHC against an aggregated group of user-defined peers. Individual Peers: Four period comparison of a single bank, thrift, or BHC against up to 10 other individual institutions. Lists: Listing of branch names and locations for banks and thrifts, and subsidiaries for BHCs. Ranking: Comparison of a single bank, thrift, or BHC against a peer group with percentile ranking.

Definitions of Financial Measures
Every financial term has a definition displayed by mousing over the cell. With dozens of financial terms used, this is a real benefit.
Clearly Differentiated Tabs for Inputs, Tables,
All tabs are color-coded for easy use: License agreement in first tab – no restrictions, just need to clarify use. GRAY tabs are license and instructions: “Full Instructions” in the second tab – recommend you print them, “Short Instructions” in third tab for more experienced users who need a quick checklist of steps. BLACK tabs are where data from FDIC is pasted. YELLOW tabs are results. BLUE tabs are for input, for simulation for example. ORANGE tab is for “Your Analysis” where you can make comments for others. All worksheets password protected, except tabs that require data to be pasted.
