Bees are an endangered species Honey‐making is an important industry in NH Bees communicate nectar sources through mathematically precise “dances” Bees see colors and patterns on flowers that humans don’t Lakes Region Community College is pleased to offer an integrated arts workshop for teaching professionals and others exploring the topic of bees through movement, sound, performance, writing, and the visual arts. Join us for an evening of hands‐on fun learning in and through the arts. Participants will: o Create a “bee” performance of movement and sound o Create a fantasy environment of pattern and color o Create an original story or mythology about bees o Learn about bees, the arts, and approaches to integrating subject matter in meaningful, creative, and challenging ways When: Wednesday, October 14, 6pm‐8:30pm Lakes Region Community College 379 Belmont Road Laconia, NH 03246 Janet Kibbee, Program Coordinator, Early Childhood Education Dr. Patricia Wild, Department Chair, Teacher Preparation Free!
