And beautiful location photographs of the two of you together show the strength of your relationship as it is growing. On the other hand endless numbers of dance and party photos long after the important events are finished will never be chosen for your album. Get dressed at home or at a location with a pleasing background, such as a Hotel, church or country club library. Church basements, offices & Sunday school rooms will not make good starting photos in your wedding album. The Bridesmaids should be dressed & the Bride should be ready to put on her dress when the photographer arrives. The dress should be hanging and the accessories & flowers available to be photographed. If you hire a limousine! hire them for the day or allow for plenty of time. You may need two if the girls and guys will be at different locations that are not close together. I have spent hours waiting on slow limos & many photo sessions have been cut short because of there time restraints. Do hirer a professional DJ! Hopefully one that you have heard work at a reception. A poor DJ can make your reception seem like a chore not a party. Ask them how many weddings they have done? And try not to tie their hands when it comes to music selection, they know what gets a crowed on the dance floor. Spend your budget wisely! I can’t say this strong enough. We hear of couples every year that spend a lot of $$$$ on cake, flowers, wedding dress, food, limos & an expensive honeymoon, but somehow believe that their friends and family will somehow create those beautiful, artistic, once in a lifetime images that they see in the magazines. Corners cut on hors’ dourvers fewer flowers or a less expensive cake will go unnoticed more easily than poor or nonexistent photographs. To the Parents; Please do not put the burden of paying for the photography solely on the Bide & Groom, especially if you are paying for everything else. I get calls from parents wondering why certain things were not done or included. The top 9 are Fuji S2, S3, S5, Nikon D3, D300, D700, & Canon EOS-40D, 5D, 1D Mark 2 or 3. Anything other than these & the Pro Photo Industry considers them amateur equipment & not up to Pro quality standards. How many cameras do you bring to the wedding? Today's cameras are essentially computers, need I say more? They do fail, We had 3 die last year, at weddings, but we always carry 3 cameras each, so we never missed a thing & the B&G never even knew. How will you dress at my wedding? I have gotten this question for years and thought it was sort of strange, until I heard the stories. Stories of photographers in jeans and gym shoes standing in front of a church full of guests. What Lab do you use? Some photographers today cut corners by using a one hour lab at a retail location like Sam’s. The photos may look good but will they last? Most one hour labs use a “Quicky” wash process that does not remove all of the chemicals from the prints. This is what causes your print to turn color or fade. And yes, with Masterworks your digital files are still printed using a archival chemical process guaranteed by Kodak to last 100 years. We do not sell inkjet prints. We also only use Professional Labs. What program do you use to Design my Album? Some photographers use template programs like you find online at shutterfly. They are fine if you do not mind being limited to the programmers designs. We design every album from the first page to the last using the latest version of Photoshop. No two albums or pages ever look the same. How do you back up my images? Many photographers use cheap DVD’s that only retain their information for about 3 years and do not archive the images for long term storage. We archive a copy of your images in 4 locations including a disk at our lab and a hard drive where they stay indefinitely. Are you working full time as a photographer? It is understood that no other still photographer shall be retained to photograph the wedding day activities for profit or gift while our photographer is working, and that any videographer contracted will not take, sell or distribute free copies of any still images or digital still files of the event, any breech of this agreement will subject the contracting parties to additional charges or a reason for non - completion of the job with no liability to Masterworks Photography and loss of initial retainer and payments made by signing party. 4. These are the same high quality custom made books that we offer our wedding clients! One of a kind designs in handmade bound leather books created just for you, using your wedding images! All you have to do is choose your images and send them to us via CD or DVD. We will design your book and email you all the information you need in order to choose your album style, design & color. After we have designed your book we will send a proof for your approval to your email as a pdf slide show. A few minor changes are included in the price. Our books start at 30 pages which allow for about 100 images, additional pages can be added. The cost of the book also includes light editing that your photographer may not have done, such as cropping, color correcting & sharpening as well as a few image enhancements such as selective color or the removal of an exit sign or red eye.
