Introduction The story of Britney Spears can be found on many websites and they all start out the same, describing her as a ambitious young girl from Kentwood, Louisiana that wanted to be famous, who ultimately got too famous and has been living a tragic existence for the past couple of years. I want this book to make you examine yourself and ask why must we know every detail of Britney's life...why is it that when she's happy that the media completely distorts the facts to pacify misery thirsty readers and viewers? The more I think about Britney's life and the way the media covers her every move the more I feel like we are all voyeurs watching a real life soap opera. And with any soap opera, its more fun to watch your favorite characters being miserable and always seeking love than it is when they actually achieve it. Don't believe me? How many times have your favorite soap or tv couples break up and get back together? Its always better to watch the chase, than it is to see a happy couple. Britney's life has a vivid cast of characters, yes, I call them characters
because at times, it appears that Spears is on a living stage and we are all in the audience...watching and waiting. I am waiting for Britney to get it together and be a great mom and just be happy in life, while others out there are waiting for the ultimate ending for her to completely break from reality and die. How many times have you flipped on the tv or logged onto a website that was on Britney Suicide Watch? Sick. Thats all I can say...Sick!
