                                         Operation Team Leader

Cambodia with commitment to grow in Cambodian market. We focus on providing second to none logistics

 - Import Export Logistics
 - Warehousing and Distribution
 - Ocean and Air Freight Forwarding
 - Customs Clearance and Inland Haulage

With the dynamism of business in Cambodia, we are searching for suitable candidate for the position of
Operation Team Leader.

Purpose:

To deliver operational excellence in cargo consolidation and the effective management of origin shipment
documents, client relationship management, and proactive stakeholder communication (shippers, CFS, Carriers,
Client Managers, client at origin and destination etc) is delivered to the highest possible standard, and that
continuous improvements are suggested and delivered.

Nature and Scope (nature and reporting line of job)
       Reporting to the Operation Manager

Job Description

Local Logistics Strategy
· Coordinate a specific designated area within the team, contributing to the execution of the Cambodia IEL (Import
Export Logistics) strategy
· Contribute to the execution of enhanced logistics programs for GKC/AKC clients
· Create customer loyalty via the execution of Service Delivery and through client management
· Reinforce APM group culture, values and representation.

Commercial Accountabilities:

· Execute local sales efforts including joint sales calls within the designated IEL account base with ISF/ ITM /teams
· Maintain healthy working relationships with client local/regional/global offices, and client shippers within IEL
function
· Maintain positive working relationships with carriers and use Damco strength to leverage additional
opportunities, services, and support to other product areas
· Maintain relationships with Damco clients to support Maersk whenever possible, in line with Maersk requirements


Operations

· Ensure the latest SOP is fully implemented, and that any change to the operation is communicated and included
in the SOP/IOP of respective service providers
· Maintain good relationships and work pro-actively with counter- parts (both internal and external). To ensure
that all Damco’ counter-parts understand our requirements and comply to them
· To provide continuously consistent services to all clients without interruption
· To support the implementation of Damco and/or client’s requirements such as, but not limited to M*Power
Shipper, Shipper Management
· To support the implementation of process improvement and client development plans, aiming for cost savings
and/or revenue enhancement for Damco
· Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service, always meeting, if not, exceeding their expectations
· Maintain pro-active communication with the CFS and monitor cargo throughput velocity as per the client’s
requirements
· Prepare and send pre-advise/shipment approvals in accordance with clients requirements
· Check container listings before sending out to CFS and carriers
· Release loading instructions to CFS and shippers for CFS shipments in a timely manner
· Release Delivery Order in timely manner to shippers for CY shipments
· Ensure timely and accurate bookings to Carriers, and coordination with other 3 rd parties
· Evaluate carriers’ performance at the end of each quarter or more frequently
· Monitor carrier allocations within the assigned destination routes
· Control carrier allocation as per clients requirements
· To control MICP/ / MCC / LCL program as per agreed IOP if relevant
· To ensure timeliness and accuracy of system updates for Documentation requirements, including, but not limited
to FCR preparations, and Sailing Advise
· Problem solving within the planning and documentation activity scope, always communicate to ensure all
involved party are aware of problem.
· To ensure Monitor the team timely draft FCR/HBL dispatch sending to shippers through right fax by the GSC or
directly via e-mail if necessary
· To ensure full system updates are completed, accurately and in a timely manner by the GSC
· Release and monitor invoicing, and cost confirmation in relevant systems
· Ensure efficient and accurate filing of active and closed shipments files
· To co-ordinate with other Damco entities as appropriate, and to ensure that “best practices” are communicated
and formalised for use between clients across IEL teams in SEA
· Full adherence to Damco’s Policies / Directives
· To ensure delivered service to customer as NAM KPI
· To ensure team productivity is meet as APA target

Financial
· Ensure local charges incurred are informed to shippers in a timely and accurately manner
· Monitor invoicing, and cost confirmation in relevant applications
· Monitor timely payments by shippers.
· Ensure credit policies, invoicing, and accruals are accounted for correctly.
· Ensure that outstanding receivables are maintained within valid credit agreements
· Authorisation of expenses as per guidelines.


HR & Training
· Live, communicate, inspire, and promote Damco' Mission, Vision, and Values
· Ensure adherence to corporate Human Resources policies and guidelines


Legal
· Ensure Damco IEL operates within legal boundaries governing the industry in Cambodia
· Ensure security levels meet/exceed APM standards and those set by the USA C-TPAT requirement

Miscellaneous

· Regularly review and update this job description with the team leader/ SCM manager
· Travel within country and SEA as required
· Show Constant Care through taking timely and necessary corrective action within all areas of responsibility as
required
· Monitor service provider performance and share findings with Manager and related stake holders
· Ensure that Health & Safety and Environmental procedures are respected in work area
· Support/lead ad hoc projects as required
· Ensure Mprove is being update as per schedule
· Minimize the claim
· Ensure to roll out the Mpower shipper BOOKING, FCR, CLR to all the new vendor as target

Condition and Requirement
   Education      :
         1. Minimum bachelor degree and above in any discipline
         2. Strong Leadership
         3. Dynamic and highly committed
         4. Comprehensive English communication and Interpersonal skill
         5. Computer literate
   Interacts directly with Global Key Clients, Area Key Clients, Area Key Sales, Local Sales, and Management of internal and
    external organisations.
   Accountabilities:
