The Eagle Grove Memorial Library held their annual summer reading rewards pool party on Friday, Aug. 3. Children and their families
from the Eagle Grove Area School District were invited to spend a couple of hours Friday morning swimming, free of charge, before
the pool opened to the public. They were also treated to free hot dogs, chips, cookies and a drink. There were 240 hot dogs ready
to be eaten, and with one per person, there were only a couple lone dogs left at the end of the party. The temperatures were perfect,
the appetites were great, and the smiles were in abundance as families enjoyed another great event in Eagle Grove.
