									What's Included in the file:
This file contains 4 tabs- this "Instruction" tab, a "Agency List" tab, which list all of the agency codes for the state, a
"Reasons for Actions" tab, which lists all of the reason codes for salary adjustments and the "Salary Adjustment
Template" tab where you will enter data for loading into SCEIS.


Instructions:
Please read all notes carefully before working with this file.

What you need to do: Complete the respective fields as indicated below.

Agency Code-Enter the agency's code based on Agency List.

Annual Salary- Provide the new salary amount for the Personnel Number entered in column E. This is a required
field in order for the data to load an adjustment to an annual salary. Please note that if you provide an annual salary
amount for a Personnel Number, you cannot provide a New Hourly Amount in column F.

Effective Date- Provide the effective or start date of the action in order for the employee's history to reflect
appropriately. It is recommended that you set the Action Date to correspond with the start of a pay period Use the
following format: YYYYMMDD (Ex: 20120601 for an effective date of June 1, 2012).

Reason Code for Salary Adjustment- Provide the Reason Code for the salary adjustment. Please see the
“Reasons for Actions” tab, which lists all reason codes listed for your selection.

Personnel Number-SCEIS Personnel Number is the 8 digit number assigned to the position and is a required
field in order for the data to load or update the record correctly.

New Hourly Amount - Provide the new hourly amount for the Personnel Number entered in column E. This is a
required field in order for the data to load an adjustment to an hourly salary. Please note that if you provide an
hourly salary amount for a Personnel Number, you cannot provide an Annual Amount in column B.

- The format provided is the required format for submission to SCEIS. You may make a working copy.
- The length of the fields in the file are fixed. Please note the lengths for each field and do not exceed these limits.
