The HS-8 from Tascam is a professional solid-state 8-channel audio recorder that offers
a wealth of features in a compact rack mountable design. The HS-8 can record 4 channels
of Broadcast WAV files at rates up to 24-bit/192kHz and 8 channels at up to 24-
bit/96kHz for any professional application. It can also record 8 channels, plus a stereo
mix track at 44.1 or 48kHz resolution. The files also have iMXL metadata for
professional logging and editing. Files are captured to widely-available CompactFlash
cards for terrific reliability. A pair of CF slots is provided, allowing you to make a
continuous recording when one card fills up, or to make mirror recordings. A front-panel
headphone jack is provided for quick and easy monitoring.
