THE TIMES THEY ARE A – CHANGIN’
Come gather ‘round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
If you time to you
Is worth Saving
Then you better start swimming
Or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changing

Come writers and Critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won’t come again
And don’t speak too soon
For the wheel’s still in spin
And there’s no telling who
That it’s naming
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changing

Come Senators Congressmen
Please heed the call
Don’t stand in the doorway
Don’t block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There’s a battle outside
And it is raging
It’ll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changing

Come mothers and fathers
Though out the land
And don’t criticize
What you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly again’
Please get out of the new one
If you can’t lend your hand
For the times they are a-changing

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
All poems

Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fading
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changing

(Bob Dylan)

THE LIFE OF FROM THE FOLK - POET YSINNO
Ysinno cut the bamboo near Hanikette,
And from those wattles made his hut
And had nothing to cover it with, nothing
Like a hundred and sixty
Bales of straw

So he made his way to
the Walauwa at
Iddamalgoda
And to the Menike said how poor he was,

And how from his twenties he made those
line of song
Swearing before her all his fealties
So the said, Wait for the Yala
Harvest and take the straw

Ysinno said, O the rains are coming near,
My woman fretting, her kid will get all wet

Then the kind Manike said, O then
You take what straw you need from behind the shed
And Ysinno being a folk – poet, and his lines
Being not all dead,

The benison of the Manike of Iddamalgoda
Live s even today

I WANDERED LONELY AS A CLOUD
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host, of golden daffodils,
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze
All poems

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretch’d in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:-
A poet could not but be gay
In such a jocund company!
I gazed-and-gazed-but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought;

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils

(William Wordsworth)

FROM “ABSALOM ND ACHITOPHEL”
Some of their Chiefs were Princes of the land;
In the first Rank of these did Zimri stand:
A man so various, that he seemed to be
Not one, but all Mankind’s Epitome
Stiff in Opinions, always in the wrong;
Was every thing by starts and nothing long:
But, in the course of one revolving Moon,
Was Chemist, fiddler, states-man, and Buffon;
Then all for women, painting, rhyming, drinking
Besides ten thousand Freaks that died in thinking
Blest Madman, who could every hour employ,
With something new to wish, or to enjoy!
Railing and praising, were his usual themes;
And both (to show his judgment) in extremes:
So over Violent, or over Civil
That every man, with him, was God or Devil
In squandering wealth was his peculiar Art;
Nothing went unrewarded, but Desert
Beggared by fools, whom still he found too late
He had his Jest, and they had his Estate

(John Dryden)

BLOWING IN THE WIND
How many roads must a man walk down?
Before they call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
How many time must the cannon-balls fire
Before they’re forever banned?
The answer my friend is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
How many years can some people exist
Before they’re allowed to be free?
How many times can a man turn his head?
And pretend that he just doesn’t see?
The answer my friend is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
How many years must one man have?
Before he can hear people cry?
How many deaths will it take till he knows?
That too many people have died?
The answer my friend is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind

(Bob Dylan)

AFTER APPLE-PICKING
My long two-pointed ladder’s sticking though a tree
Towards heaven still,
And there’s a barrel that I didn’t fill
Beside it, and there may be two or three
Apples I didn’t pick upon some bough
But I am done with apple-picking now
Essence of winter sleep is on the night,
The scent of apples: I am drowsing off
I cannot rub the strangeness from my sight
I got from looking through a pane of glass
I skimmed this morning from the drinking trough
And held against the world of hoary grass
It melted, and I let it fall and break
But I was well
All poems

TO EARTHWARD
Love at the lips was touch
As sweet as I could bear;
And once that seemed too much;
I lived on air

That crossed me from sweet things
The flow of – was it musk
From hidden grapevine springs
Down hill at dusk?

I had the swirl and ache
From sprays of honeysuckle
That when they’re gathered shake
Dew on the knuckle

I craved strong sweet, but those
Seemed strong when I was young;
The petal of the rose
It was that stung

Now no joy but lacks salt
That is not dashed with pain
An weariness and fault;
I crave the stain

Of tears, the after mark
Of almost too much love,
The sweet of bitter bark
And burning clove

When stiff and sore and scarred
I take away my hand
From learning on it hard
In grass and sand

The hurt is not enough:
I long for weight and strength
To feel the earth as rough
T all my length

(Robert Frost)

THE SOLITARY REAPER
Behold her, single in the field,
You solitary highland lass!
Reaping and singing by herself;
Stop here, or gently pass!
Alone she cuts and binds the grain,
And sings a/melancholy strain,
O listen! For the Vale profound
Is overflowing with the sound
All poems

No nightingale did ever chaunt
More welcome notes to weary bands
Of travelers in some shady haunt,
Among the Arabian sands
A voice so thrilling ne’er was heard
In spring-time from the Cuckoo-bird,
Breaking the silence of the seas
Among the farthest Hebrides

Will no one tell me what she sings?
Perhaps the plaintive numbers flow
For old, unhappy, far-off things,
And battles long ago:
Or is it some more humble lay,
Familiar matter of to-day?
Some natural sorrow, loss, or pain,
That has been, and may be again?

What’re the theme, the Maiden sang
As if her song could have no ending;
I saw her singing at her work,
And o,er the sickle bending;
I listened, motionless and still;
And as I mounted up the hill,
The music in my heart I bore,
Long after it was heard no more

(William Wordsworth)

SHE DWELT AMONG THE UNTRODDEN WAYS
She dwelt among the untrodden ways
Beside the springs of Dove,
A Maid whom there were none to praise,
And very few to love

A violet by a mossy stone
Half-hidden from the eye !
Fair as a star, when only one
Is shining in the sky

She lived unknown, and few could know
When Lucy ceased to be ;
But she is in her grave, and, oh,
The difference to me !

(William Wordsworth)

MENDING WALL
Something there is that doesn’t love a wall’
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it
All poems

And spills the upper boulders in the sun,
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast
The work of hunters is another thing:
I have come after them and made repair
Where they have left not one stone on a stone
But they would have the rabbit out of hiding,
To please the yelping dogs The gaps I mean,
No one has seen them made or heard them there,
But at spring mending-time we find them there
I let my neighbor know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us once again
We keep the wall between us as we go
To each the boulders that have fallen to each
And some are loaves and some so nearly balls
We have to use a spell to make them balance:
“Stay where you are until our backs are turned!”
We wear our fingers rough with handling them
Oh, just another kind of outdoor game,
One on a side it comes to little more:
There where it is we do not need the wall:
He is all pine and I’m apple orchard
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him
He only says, “Good fences make good neighbors”
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
“Why do they make good neighbors? isn’t it
Where there are cows? But here there are no cows
Before I built a wall I’d ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offense
Something there is that doesn’t love a wall.
That wants it down, “I could say “Elves” to him,
But it’s not elves exactly and I’d rather
He said it for himself, I see him there,
Bringing a stone grasped firmly by the top
In each hand, like an old stone savage armed
He moves in darkness as it seems to me,
Not of woods only and the shade of trees
He will not go behind his father’s saying,
And he likes having thought of it so well
He says again, “Good fences make good neighbors”

ROBERT FROST

FROM “AN EPISTLE TO Dr. ARBUTHNIOT”
Peace to all such! But were there one whose fires
True Genius Kindles, and fair Fame inspires;
Blest with each talent and each art to please,
All poems

And born to write, converse, and live with ease:
Should such a man, too fond to rule alone,
Bear, like the Turk, no brother near the throne,
View him with scornful, yet with jealous eyes,
And heat for art that caused himself to rise;
Damn with faint praise, assent with civil leer,
And without sneering, teach the rest to sneer;
Willing to wound, and yet afraid to strike,
Just hint a fault, and hesitate dislike;
Alike reserv’d to blame, or to commend,
A tim’rous foe, and a suspicious friend;
Dreading ev’n fools by flatterers besieg’d;
And so obliging, that he ne’er obliged
Like Cato give his little senate laws,
And sit attentive to his own applause;
While wits and Templers ev’ry sentence raise;
And wonder with a foolish face or praise
Who but must laugh, if such a man there be?
Who would not weep, if ATTICUS were he?

(Alexander Pope)

EARTH HAS NOT ANYTHING TO SHOW MORE FAIR
Earth has not anything to show more fair:
Dull would he be of soul pass by
A sight so touching in its majesty:
This city now doth like a garment wear
The beauty of the morning; silent, bare,
Ships, towers, domes, theatres, and temples lie
Open unto the fields, and to the sky;
Al bright and glittering in the smokeless air
Never did sun more beautifully steep
In his first splendor valley, rock or hill;
Ne’er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep!
The river glided at his own sweet will:
Dear God! the very houses seem asleep;
And all that mighty heart lying still!

(William Wordsworth)

ANIMULA
‘Issues from the hand of god, the simple soul’
To a flat world of changing lights and noise
To light, dark, dry or damp, chilly or warm;
Moving between the legs of tables and of chairs,
Rising or falling, grasping at kisses and toys,
Advancing boldly, sudden to take alarm,
Retreating to the corner of arm and knee,
All poems

Eager to be reassured, taking pleasure
In the fragrant brilliance of the Christmas tree,
Pleasure in the wind, the sunlight and the sea;
Studies the sunlit pattern on the floor
And running stags around a silver tray;
Confounds the actual and the fanciful,
Content with playing-cards and kings and queens,
What the fairies do and what the servants say
The heavy burden of the growing soul
Perplexes and offends more, day by day;
Week by week, offends and perplexes more
With the imperatives of “is and seems”
And may and may not, desire and control
The pain of living and the drug of dreams
Curl up the small sound in the window seat
Behind the encyclopedia Britannica
Issues from the hand of time the simple soul
Irresolute and selfish, misshapen, lame,
Unable to fare forward or retreat,
Fearing the warm reality, the offered good
Shadow of its own shadows, specter in its own gloom,
Leaving disordered papers in a dusty room;
Living first in the silence after the viaticum
Pray for Gutierrez, avid of speed and power,
For Boudin’ blown to pieces,
For this one who made a great fortune,
And that one who went his own way
Pray for Floret, by the boarhound slain between the yew trees,
Pray for us now and at the hour of our birth

(T.S. Eliot)

Little fly , thy summer
Little fly , thy summer' s play
my thought less hand Has brush d away. . .
Am not l A fly like thee?
Or art not thou A man like me?
 For l dance and drink,
and sing,
till some blind hand Shall brush my wing...
If though is life and strength breath,
and the want of thought is death:
THEN AM I A HAPPY FLY,
IF I LOVE OR IF I DIE...

I love you so deeply,
I love you so much,
I love the sound of your voice
And the way that we touch.
I love your warm smile
And your kind, thoughtful way,
The joy that you bring
To my life every day.
I love you today
As I have from the start,
And I'll love you forever
With all of my heart.

I Love Poems Colection. part2

I Love You
I love his soft brown eyes and
the way that he catches me by surprise and
he never has to wear a disguise.
I love the way that he kisses me and the way that
he misses me.
I love the way that he said
that I love you first.
But baby I really love you the most.
I love you the way that you just
love mean and only me.
This is how
life is suppose to be
me loving you and you loving me.
I know this is meant to be and that
is what you told me.
Baby I love you and this is true.
I love you more than words,
can ever say,
I love you more when you
take my breath way.
I thank God for you everyday.

God's Plan
When I think of my past
Nothing can compare
With how my life turned out now

You’ve taught me the freedom of love
Given me a reason to go on and live
You’ve loved me because I am who I am

The doubts I once had have long gone away
Allowing love to blossom in their place
Into something that is spiritual, even divine

God has brought us together
And I’m so glad that you’re mine
And better yet I am yours

In my heart, it is a heavenly plan
For us to spend life together
No matter where it may lead

For God has stepped into our lives
He is the one who knows best
Blessing our lives as we know it
Antoinette McDonald

As I lie in my bed,
Your name running through my head.
All I can think of is you
And all that you do.
The way you look at me.
I feel as if I’m in a dream.
The blue sky
Reminds me of your eyes
Which gives me butterflies.
You have brightened my life
With that beautiful smile.
No longer are my days a trial.
Your touch is like heaven,
Upon my young skin.
If only you knew
That what I say is true
I would do anything just to be with you.
Hand to hand, palm to palm
Just hold me in your arms,
I love you with all my heart
'Till the very day it falls apart.
I may be young
But my heart is strong.
I know what love is
It's my name and his.
All poems

You make all the problems float away
No matter how was my day.
I love our heart to heart chats
When our beats connect,
And when my head starts to fade back
From when the blue sky
Turns sacred black.

The words to say to a lover
I'll be with you as long as you want me too,
Until the end of time.
The day I met you I knew we would be together forever.
I can say I am truly happy to this day,
You made me thank god that I live my life everyday.
There's never been a doubt in my mind that I ever regret having you by my
side,
but if that day comes that I have to let you go,
I think there is some thing I should let you know.
I will miss you and I am happy that I even had you
I enjoyed every minute spent with you.
I love you!

I L ove You Poems Colection. part 1

Love Me Tomorrow
Love me tomorrow for it is a new day
Love me again like you did the first day
Love me always for my heart beats for yours
Kiss me sweetly and gently upon tomorrow morning
Hold me tightly for I'm afraid to fall
Don't forget your promises for I had too many broken
Hold my hand to guide the way

Hold my heart to keep it safe
Tell me tomorrow that today wasn't a dream
Tell me sweet nothings as I begin to sleep
And Ill always remind you that I am yours alone
Truly and forever until were reborn
Then I will find you once again
To tell you I love you all over again

I Love You
I never really knew you
you were just another friend
But when I got to know you
I let my heart unbend

I couldn't help past memories
That would only make me cry
I had to forget my first love
And give another try

So I've fallen in love with you
And I'll never let you go
I love you more than anyone
I just had to let you know

My feelings for you will never change
Just know my feelings are true
Just remember this one thing
I will always love you

The Easiest Thing I Have Ever Done
the first time we spoke
my ears heard a song
the first time we met
my eyes sang along

the first time we kissed
my lips muttered the words
the first walk in the woods
brought the chorus of birds

the first movie I spent
cuddled in your arms
in the background I heard
the whispering of charms

the first time you said
I love you to me
the sounds of my heart
could have parted the sea

always will too!!!
I will always love you,
Remember that.
You can push me away,
but I'll always come back.
you can deny your desire and say it can't be,
but I won't let the walls come between you and me.
You're afraid of your dark side,
the harm you could cause.
I have never feared your hands
or their sharp, pointy claws.
I love them,
I love you,
I love all that you are.
protest all you like,
but you will not get far.
You can never change my mind.
My heart will stay true.
I'll do everything I can to get closer to you.
I will wait for you forever,
so get used to that fact.
I will always love you,
"Remember That".

Waving Flag poem
When I get older, they’ll call me Freedom
Just like a Waving Flag
When I got older, I will be stronger
They’ll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back

Born to a throne, stronger than Room
But Violent prone, poor people zone,
But it’s my home, all I have known,
Where I got grown, streets we would roam
But out of the darkens, I came the farthest,
Among the hardest survival
Learn from these streets, it can be bleak,
Except no defeat, surrender retreat,
All poems

So we struggling, fighting to eat and
We wondering when we’ll be free,
So we patiently wait, for that fateful day,
It’s not far away, so for now we say

When I got older, I will be stronger
They’ll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back

So many wars, settling scores,
Bringing us promises, leaving us poor,
I heard them say, love is the way,
Love is the answer, that’s what they say,
But look how they treat us, Make us believers,
We fight their battles, then they deceive us,
Try to control us, they couldn’t hold us,
Cause we just move forward like Buffalo Soldiers

The Sound Of Silence poem
Hello darkness my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the Sound of Silence

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow street of cobbled stone,
Behind the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes are were stabbed by the flash
Of neon light that spilt the night
And toughed the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people may be more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs those voices never share,
No one dare
Disturb the Sound of Silence
All poems

“fools” said I “you do not know
Silence like the cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent rain drops fell
And echoed
In the wells of silence

And the people browed and prayed
To the neon god they made

The fool on hill poem
Day after day alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still,
But nobody wants to know him, they can see he’s just
A fool
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head see the world spinning’ round

Well on the way head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him, or the sound he appearsTo make

And he never seems to notice
But the fool on the hill sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head see the world spinning’ round

Day after day alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still,
But nobody wants to know him, they can see he’s just
A fool
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head see the world spinning’ round

Day after day alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still
He never listens to them, he knows that
They are the fools
They don’t like him
But the fool in the hill sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head see the world
Spinning’ round

That time of year thou may in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the
Cold,
Bare, ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds
Sang,
In me thou see’s the twilight of such day
As after sunset faded In the west;
Which by and by black night doth take away,
Death’s second self, that seals up all in rest,
In me thou see’s the glowing of such fire,
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
As the death-bed whereon it must expire
Consum’d with that which it was nourish’d by
This thou perceiv’st which makes thy love
More strong
To love that well which thou must leave are long

(William Shakespeare)

Your great hood was likie a flag

Your great hood was likie a flag
Hung up there in the village
Endlessly the people came to Weragoda
Watched you (your eyes like breziers)
Standing somewhat afar
They stood before you in obeisance Death, The powers of the paramitas,
took you to heaven

Sacrifice poem
It’s a human sing
When things go wrong
When the scent of her lingers
And temptation’s

Into the boundary
Of each married man
Sweet deceit comes calling
And negativity lands

Cold cold heart
Hard done by you
Some things look better baby
Just passing through

And it’s no sacrifice
Just a simple word
All poems

It’s two hearts living
In two separate worlds
But it’s no sacrifice
No sacrifice
It’s no sacrifice at all

Mutual misunderstanding
After the face
Sensitivity builds a prison
In the final act

We lose direction
No stone unturned
No tears to damn you
When jealousy burns

(Elton John)

Quit Playing game song
Even in my heart I see

You’re not being true to me

Deep within my soul I feel
Nothing’s like it used to be
Sometimes I wish I could turn back time
Impossible as it may seem
But I wish I could so bad baby

Quit playing games with my heart
Before you tear us apart
I should’ve known from the start
Before you got in my heart

I live my life the way
To keep you coming back to me
Everything I do is for you
So what is it that you can’t see?
Sometimes I wish I could
Turn back time, impossible as it may seem
But I wish could so bad baby
You better quit playing games with my heart

Quit playing games
Baby , baby, the love that we had was so strong
Don’t leave me hanging here forever
All poems

Oh baby, baby, this is not right
Lets stop this tonight

Baby, quit playing games
Sometimes I wish I could
Turn back time, impossible as it may seem
But I wish could
So bad, baby
Quit play in games with my heart playing games with my heart

Quit playing games
Baby , baby, the love that we had was so strong
Don’t leave me hanging here forever
Oh baby, baby, this is not right
Lets stop this tonight

Baby, quit playing games
Sometimes I wish I could
Turn back time, impossible as it may seem
But I wish could
So bad, baby
Quit play in games with my heart

Private Emotion
Every endless night has a dawning day
Every darkest sky has a shining ray
And it shines on you baby can’t you see
You’re the only one who can shine for me

It’s a private emotion that fills you tonight
And a silence falls between us
As the shadows steal the light
And wherever you may find it
Wherever it may lead
Let your private emotion come to me
Come to me

When you soul is tired and your heart is weak

Do you think of love as one way street
All poems

Well it runs both ways, open up your eyes
Can’t you see me here, how can you deny

Every endless night has a dawning day
Every darkest sky has a shining ray
It takes a lot to laugh as your tears go by
But you can find me here till your tears run dry

It’s a private emotion that fills you tonight
And a silence falls between us
As the shadows steal the light
And wherever you may find it
Wherever it may lead
Let your private emotion come to me………

No Promise Poems.

Hey baby when we are together

Doing things that we love
Every time you’re near I feel like I’m in heaven
Feeling high
I don’t want to let go, girl
I just need you to know, girl

I don’t wanna run away

Baby, you’re the one I need tonight

No promises
Baby, now I need to hold you tight
I just wanna die in your arms here tonight

Hey baby when we are together
Doing things that we love
Every time you’re near I feel like I’m in heaven
Feeling high
I don’t want to let go, girl
I just need you to know, girl
All poems

I don’t wanna run away
Baby, you’re the one I need tonight
No promises
Baby, now I need to hold you tight
I just wanna die in your arms

I don’t wanna run away
I want to stay forever though time and time
No promises

I don’t wanna run away
I don’t wanna be alone
No promises
Baby, now I need to hold you tight
Now and forever, my love
No promises

I don’t wanna run away
I don’t wanna run away

Newer Let You Go poem

They say that hate has been sent

So let loose the talk of love (of love, of love)
Before they outlaw the kiss
Baby, give me one last hag
There’s a dream that I’ve been chasing
Want so badly for it to be reality
And when you hold my hand

And I understand that it’s meant to be

‘cause baby when you’re with me…
All poems

It’s like an angel came by and took me to heaven (came by and took me to
heaven)
‘cause when I stare in your eyes it couldn’t be better (I don’t want you
to go, oh no, so)

Let the music blast
We gonna do our dance
Bring the doubters on
They don’t matter at all
‘cause this life’s too long
And this love’s too strong
So baby know for sure
That I’ll never let you go

I got my favorite girl
Not feeling’, no pain, no fear
Don’t have a care in the world
Why would I when you are here?
There’s a moment I’ve been chasing
And I finally caught it out on this floor
Baby, there’s no hesitation, no reservation
By taking a chance and more, oh no, because….
It’s like an angle came by and took……

Take my hand Let’s just dance
Watch my feet Follow me
Don’t be scared, Girl I’m here
If you didn’t know, This is love
Let the music blast….

So don’t fear
Don’t you worry about a thing
I am here, by you (I ‘ll never let you go)

Don’t shed a tear
When ever you need me,
I’ll be here (I ‘ll never let you go)
Oh no, oh no, oh…(I’ll never let you go)
Oh no, oh no, oh…(I’ll never let you go)

Words 2 poem

Smile an ever lasting smile
A smile can bring you near to me
Don’t ever let me find you gone
‘cause that would has lost its glory
Let’s start a brand new story
Now my love
You think that I don’t even mean
A single word I say

It’s only words
And words are all I have
To take your heart away

Talk in ever lasting words
And dedicate them all to me
And I ill give you all my life
I’m here if you should call to me
You think that I don’t even mean
A single word I say

It’s only words……
It’s only words……
Da dal da da da da……
This world has lost its glory
let’s start a brand new story
now my love
you think that I don’t even mean
a single word I say

It’s only words……
It’s only words……

Love is the light and
Sunshine of life,
We cannot fully enjoy
Ourselves,
Or anything else,
Unless someone we love
Enjoys it with us….

Love is a song 'poem'

Love is a song that you sing in your heart
Or a light that shines in your eyes;

A poem that uses kisses for words;
A lyric that is written with sighs

Love is a crown that makes a king,
A jewel that a women may wear

Love is a star that shines in the night,
Or a rose that you pin in your hair

Love is a story that’s never been told
Love is a treasure to find….

But you cannot buy love with those
diamonds you hold
Or all the gold that’s been mind

Not even two lovers, who truly have
Cared, can hope to keep love for a day….

For love is a gift that may only be shared
By those who would give it away.

La isla bonita 'poem'

Last night I dreamt of san pedro
Just like I’d never gone, I knew the song
A young girl with eyes like the desert
It all seems like yesterday, not far away
All poems

Tropical the island breeze
All of nature wild and free
This is where I long to be
La isla bonita
And when the samba played
The sun would set so high
Ring through my ears and sting my eyes
Your Spanish lullaby

I fell in love with San pedro
Warm wind carried on the sea, he called to me
Te dijo to amo
I prayed that the days would last
They went so fast

I want to be where the sun warms the sky
When it’s time for siesta you can watch them go by
Beautiful faces, no cares in this world
Where a girl loves a boy, and a boy loves a girl

Last night I dreams of San pedro
It all seems like yesterday, not far away

If I Let You Go' poem'
Day after day
Time pass away

And I just can’t get you off my mind
Nobody knows…. I hide it inside
I keep on searching but I can’t find
The courage to show….
To letting you know….
I’ve never felt so much love before
And once again I’m thinking about
Taking the easy way out….

But if I let you go
I will never know
What my life would be
Holding you close to me
Will I ever see
You smiling back at me
How will know?
All poems

Night after night
I hear myself saying
Why can’t this feeling just fade away?
There’s no one like you….
You speak to my heart….
It’s such a shame we’re worlds apart….
I’m too shy to ask….
I’m too proud to lost
But sooner or later I gotta choose
And once again I’m thinking about
Taking the easy way out….
Once again I’m thinking about….
Taking the easy way out….

I’D RATHER BE A SPARROW THAN A SNAIL ' POEM'

I’d rather be a hammer than a nail,
Yes I would, if I could I surely would
I’d rather be a sparrow than a snail
Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would

Away, I’d rather sail away
Like a swan that’s here and gone
A man gets tied up to the ground
He gives the world its saddest song
Its saddest song

I’d rather be a hammer than a street
Yes I would, if I could I surely would
I’d rather feel the earth beneath my feet
Yes I would, if I could I surely would

Away, I’d rather sail away
Like a swan that’s here and gone
A man gets tied up to the ground
He gives the world its saddest song
Its saddest song

I Love The Way You Love Me 'poem'

I like the feel of your name on my lips
And I like the sound of your sweet gentle kiss
The way that your fingers run through my hair
And how your scent lingers even when you’re not here

And I like the way your eyes dance when you laugh
And how you enjoy your two-hour bath
And how you’ve convinced me to dance in the rain
With every one watching like we were insane

But I love the way you love me
Strong and wild, slow and easy
Heart and soul so completely
I love the way you love me

And I like the sound of old R ‘n’ B
And you roll your eyes when I’m sloppily off key
And I like the innocent way that you cry
At sappy old movies you’ve seen thousands of times

(Listen to me now)
And I could list a million things
I love to like about you
But they could all come down to one reason
I could never live without you

I am a rock 'poem'

A winter’s day in deep and dark December
I am alone
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On freshly fallen silent streets of snow

I am a rock I am an island
I built walls, a fortress deep and mighty
That none may penetrate, I have no need for
friendship
Friendship causes pain, its laughter and its
loving I disdain

I am a rock I am an island
Don’t talk of love, well I had heard that word
before
Its sleep in my memory
I wont disturb its numbness
Of feelings that have died
If I never loved I never would have tried
I have books and my poetry to protect me
I am shedding my amour
Hiding in my room safe safely in my room
I touched, no one touches me
I am a rock, I am an island
And a rock feels no pain, and an island never
cries

(Paul Simon)

Eleanor Rigby 'poem'

Ah, look at all the lonely people !
Ah, look at all the lonely people !
Eleanor Rigby
Picks up the rice in a church where a wedding
has been
Lives in a dream,
Waits at the window,
All poems

Wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by
the door
Who is it for ?
All the lonely people,
Where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong ?

Father McKenzie
Writing the words of a sermon that no - one
will here
No – one comes near
Look at him working,
Darning his socks in the night when there’s
nobody there
what does he care ?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong ?

Eleanor Rigby
Died in the church and was buried alone with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie
Wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks
from the grave
no one was saved
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong ?

Betty butter 'little poem'

Betty butter bought some butter
But she said the butter is bitter
If I put in my batter
It will make my batter bitter

But a bit of better butter
All poems

That would make my batter better
So the bought a bit of butter
Better than the bitter butter….

Beautiful Girl 'poem'

You’re way too beautiful girl
That’s why it’ll never work
You’ll have me suicidal, suicidal
When you say it’s over
Damn all these beautiful girls
They only wanna do your dirt
They’ll have you suicidal, suicidal
When they say it’s over

See it started at the park
Used to chill at the dark
Oh when you took my heart
That’s when we fell apart
Coz we both though
That love lasts forever
They say we’re too young
To get ourselves sprung
Oh we didn’t care
We made it very clear
And they also said
That we couldn’t last together

See it’s very define, girl
One of a kind
But you must up my mind
You walk to get declined
Oh Lord……….
My baby is driving me crazy

It was back in ‘99
Watching movies all the time
Oh when I went away
For doing my first crime
And I never thought
That we was gonna see each other
All poems

And then I came out
Mami moved me down south
Oh I’m with my girl
Who I thought was my world
It came out to be
That she wasn’t the girl for me

Now we’re fussing
and now we’re fighting
Please tell me why
I’m feeling slighting
and I don’t know
how to make it better
you’re dating other guys

Oh I can’t believe
what I’m seeing with my eyes
I’m losing my mind
And I don’t think it’s clever
You’re way too beautiful girl
That’s why it’ll never work
You’ll have me suicidal, suicidal

(Sean Kingston)

Baby One More Time 'poem'

Oh baby, baby

Oh baby, baby
Oh baby, baby
How was I supposed to know
That something wasn’t right here
All poems

Oh baby baby
‘cause I need to know now what we’ve got

My loneliness is killing me
I must confess, I still believe
When I’m not with you I lose my mind
Give me assign
Hit me baby one more time

Oh baby, baby
The reason I breathe is you
Boy you got me blinded
Oh baby, baby
There’s nothing that I wouldn’t do
That’s not the way I planned it
Show me, how you want it to be
Tell me baby
‘cause I need to know now what we’ve got

Oh baby, baby
Oh baby, baby
Ah, yeah, yeah
Oh baby, baby
How was I supposed to know oh pretty baby
I shouldn’t have let you go

I must confess, that my loneliness
Is killing me now
Don’t you know I still believe
That you will be here
And give me a sing
Hit me baby one more time………

My Heart Will Go On 'poem'

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on
Far across the distance
All poems

And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for lifetime
And never let go till we’re gone
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we’ll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

You’re here, there’s nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We’ll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

(Celine Dion)

poems for Life
IFE, believe, is not a dream
So dark as sages say;
Oft a little morning rain
Foretells a pleasant day
Sometimes there are clouds of gloom
But these are transient all;

If the shower will make the roses bloom,

O why lament its fall?
All poems

Rapidly, merrily,
Life’s sunny hours flit by,
Gratefully, cheerily
Enjoy them as they fly!
What though death at times steps in,
And calls our best away?

What though sorrow seems to win,
O’er hope, a heavy sway?
Yet hope again elastic springs,
Unconquered, though she fell;
Still buoyant are her golden wings,
Still strong to bear us well
Manfully, fearlessly,
The day of trial bear,
For gloriously, victoriously,
Can courage quell despair!

Charlotte Bronte

A Lovelier world poem

It’s lovelier world
Because of you….
The skies above
Are bright and blue,
The days are filled
With rare delight,
And there is Magic
In the night

It’s lovelier world
Because you’re here….
A world of smiles,
A world of cheer,
A world of blessings
All poems

from above,
and all because
I have you to love….

A Poison Tree poem.

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did grow…
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow…

And I watered it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles…

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright
And my foe beheld it shine
And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree…
(William Blake)

A New Day Has Come poem.
All poems

A new day has……… come
I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Every one told me to be strong
Hold on and don’t shed a tear

Through the darkness and good times
I know I’d make it through
And the world though I had it all
But I was waiting for you
Hush, love

I see a light in the sky
Oh, it’s almost blinding me
I can’t believe
I’ve been toughed by an angel with love
Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let is shatter the walls for a new, new sun
A new day has ……..come

Where it was dark now there’s light
Where there was pain now there’s joy
Where there was weakness, I found my strength
All in the eyes of a boy
Hush, love

I see a light in the sky
Oh, it’s almost blinding me
I can’t believe
I’ve been toughed by an angel with love
Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let is shatter the walls for a new, new sun
A new day has ……..come

A new day has…..come
Ohhh, a light…..ooh

(Celine Dion)

Your Name 'little poem'

I wrote your name in the sky,
All poems

But the wind blew it away.
I wrote your name in the sand,
But the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name in my heart,
And forever it will stay.

Never Have I Fallen poem

Your lips speak soft sweetness
Your touch a cool caress
I am lost in your magic
My heart beats within your chest
I think of you each morning
And dream of you each night
I think of your arms being around me
And cannot express my delight
Never have I fallen
But I am quickly on my way
You hold a heart in your hands
That has never before been given away

You're my man poem.

You're my man, my mighty king,
And I'm the jewel in your crown,
You're the sun so hot and bright,
I'm your light-rays shining down,
You're the sky so vast and blue,
And I'm the white clouds in your chest,
I'm a river clean and pure,
Who in your ocean finds her rest,
You're the mountain huge and high,
I'm the valley green and wide,
You're the body firm and strong,
And I'm a rib bone on your side,
You're an eagle flying high,
I'm your feathers light and brown,
You're my man, my king of kings,
And I'm the jewel in your crown.

A Stranger poem

A stranger you were once.
Then, with a gentle look you took my hand.
As our lives engaged,
you lit my life and I held both your hands.
Now that decades have passed,
ours souls have indeed become one.
How fortunate we are
that we have found the love so true

Summer's Day poem

Shall I Compare To A Summer's Day?
Thou more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of may,
And Summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;

And every fair from Fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed:
All poems

But thy eternal Summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall death brag thou wanderest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest;
So long men can breathe or eyes can see,
so long lives this and this gives life to thee

Marrige Of Ture Minnds poem

Let me not the marriage of tru minds
admit impediments. love is not love
which alters when it alteration finds,
or bends with the remiver to remove;

O,no! it is an ever-fixed mark,

that looks on tempests and is never shaken;
it is the star to every wandering bark,
whose worth,s unknown, although his height be taken.
love's not tim's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks,

Within his bending sickle's compass come;love alters not with his brief
hours and weeks,
but bears it out even to the edge of doom.
if his be error, and upon me prov'd,
i never writ,nor no man ever lov'd.
