							                             MATTHEW S. GERLACH

Matt Gerlach is a healthcare business executive and leader with a proven track record of
accomplishments in corporate and hospital administration roles. He has experience in a
number of diverse environments, including academic medical centers, a health maintenance
organization, non-profit and for-profit healthcare systems, as well as faith-based
hospitals and healthcare systems.

Matt currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Glendale
Memorial Hospital and Health Center, a 334-bed faith-based community not-for-profit
hospital, which is a member of Catholic Healthcare West. Matt previously served as Chief
Administrative Officer for Providence Health & Services’ California Region, where he
created a physician business services division, integrated multiple systems into a single
healthcare information system and oversaw the region’s medical foundation, while
negotiating an equity ownership interest in and serving on the board of a large medical
group. In a prior role as Senior Vice President of Business Transformation for Kaiser
Permanente’s Southern California Region, Matt served as a member of the leadership team
which was accountable for the regional implementation of KP HealthConnect, the
organization’s comprehensive electronic health record, on schedule and on budget. Matt’s
prior experience includes Senior Vice President and Valleys Service Area Manager for
Kaiser Permanente, overseeing Health Plan and Hospital operations as the CEO and
Administrator for two acute care hospitals and twelve medical offices and working closely
with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group to assure the delivery of
integrated health care services for over 500,000 residents in North Los Angeles, Ventura
and Kern Counties. Matt's other experiences include operational, strategic planning and
financial leadership roles in organizations including Medical Development Specialists, UCLA
Medical Center, Torrance Memorial Medical Center, USC University Hospital, Citrus Valley
Medical Center and Beverly Hospital, where he served as President and Chief Executive
Officer for six years.

Matt has an M.B.A in Finance from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and an M.P.H.
in Health Services Management, also from UCLA. He completed his undergraduate work in
Experimental Psychology at the University of California, San Diego.
