Summarize your impressions of the similarities/differences between these two genes. WHY do you think these genes are so similar?
They have more similarities than differences, however, there still are significant differences that probably make a huge difference in how the proteins work and how the DNA is read. They are both mammal animals so I think that that has something to do with the similarities. However, I would have never guessed for a bat and a sea lion to have some high similarities.
