The retail director is the one who has the greatest responsibility to fulfill when it comes
to the shop. He or she has the aim to run the store successfully and handle the everyday
operations of the store. It will be very necessary to ensure that the standard of store
remains high. He or she has to hire the employees to maintain great customer relations.
He or she has the responsibility to keep pace with the hectic environment of retail.

The duties and responsibilities which a retail director needs to fulfill are as follows:

      The prime responsibility is to manage the entire functioning process of the shop
       properly.

      He or she has to coordinate the working of the all departments to customer
       satisfaction.

      It will be very necessary to recruit the staff perfectly as the process of screening
       should be perfect for a lot depends on the quality of staff.

      He or she has to perform the tasks such as coordinating different schedules and
       also handling of the store’s payroll.

      It will be needed to maintain the environment of the shop so as it would help the
       store to gain success in the long run.

      He or she needs to install new items and features to increase the aesthetics and
       functioning of the store.

      The retail director always has to work for the increasing of the revenue and
       standard of the store by determining the profits of the store..

      Planning strategies and trying to realize them.

The required skills and specifications of a person desiring to do the job of a retail
director:

      The Person should have excellent communication skills with the great
       organizational abilities.

      He or she should necessarily have the customer relation skills.
      He or she should have a very good sense of management and managing the
       things.

      He or she needs to be highly motivated towards the work.

Education and Qualifications

      The basic degree required for the job is a Bachelor’s degree in retail management
       with related subjects like business and communication from an accredited
       institution.

      It will be an added advantage for the person having at least five years of past
