MCSA Youth Ice Hockey Registration and Learn-to-Play Hockey program
Autumn is here and it’s time to get ready for Youth Ice Hockey! The Maine Coast Skaters' Association (MCSA) is busily preparing for another FUN season. The
official first day of practice is October 4th, so Register Online Today at www.mainecoastskaters.org
Not sure if Ice Hockey is for you? Why not give it a try it before you decide? MCSA Youth Hockey is offering a Free One-Hour "Learn to Play Hockey" session on
Sunday, October 3rd, at the Midcoast Recreation Center (MRC), from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Route 90 in Rockport.
The session is open to girls and boys ages 3 to 18, of all skating abilities. No previous hockey experience is required. MCSA Storm players and coaches will be on the
ice assisting and teaching participants the basics of ice hockey. This will be a low-intensity session focused on education, and most importantly, fun!
Helmets, pads and sticks will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. MRC will provide rental skates at no charge. Please bring skates, sticks, knee pads, elbow
pads and helmets if you have your own. Bicycle or skateboard helmets are OK.
MCSA offers organized ice hockey to the youth in our area and welcomes new players. Representatives will be available to speak with participants and their parents
about the youth hockey program and how to sign up for the 2010-11season. Make sure to ask about the exciting new “skating development program” that helps kids
learn how to skate like the pro’s.
Please plan to arrive at MRC no later than 2:00 p.m. in order to get players geared-up in time for a full hour on the ice. A parent or guardian is required to authorize their
child’s participation.
For more information about this session and directions to MRC, please visit
www.mainecoastskaters.org, or contact info@mainecoastskaters.org
We look forward to seeing you at the rink!
