Mary Kay InTouch: This is a consultant website that has training materials, consultant
forms, current company information, and it’s where you place orders and sign up your
team members! The first time you log onto www.marykayintouch.com, you will need to
create a password. Once you’ve logged on, take a look around at some of the links. I
suggest you look first under the Education Tab at Business Basics. You will be amazed at
how easy it is to get around and how much information is right at your fingertips!
Business Cards: You can order on Mary Kay InTouch under the “MK Connections”
link. I suggest you order the Business Kit with the tented business cards. This kit has a
nametag, product labels, and a stamp and is very economical.
Weekly Accomplishment Sheets: Complete these sheets weekly and send them to me via
the InTouch website to receive sales recognition for your accomplishments!! From
InTouch, go to the Business Tools Tab and scroll down to Weekly Accomplishments, then
click on “Enter weekly accomplishments.” Don’t forget to submit them to me so I can see
Mary Kay Checking Account: To keep your personal monies separate from your
business monies, I recommend you open a personal checking account that is used solely
for your Mary Kay business. You will pay for all business expenses from this new
account. Get a debit card with Visa or MasterCard logo linked to this account that you can
use for placing your product orders.
Income and Expense Tracking: A simple way to keep your income and expenses
organized is to create a filing system with 12 files, labeled January through December. In
each file, put two manila envelopes, one labeled “sales” and the other labeled “expenses.”
Also, print out (or copy) 12 Expense Tracking Forms from LearnMK and put one in each
file. Each month you will put your weekly accomplishment sheets, sales slips and
commission check stubs in the income envelope. You will place any expense receipts,
wholesale order sheets, and any other expenses in the expense envelope. This will make
tax time a breeze!
Mary Kay Image: You are now a professional beauty consultant, representing the most
respected company with the best selling brand in the US for the past 13 years! When
representing Mary Kay you should dress professionally in a skirt, dress or suit with
pantyhose. Please no pants. This is a request that Mary Kay Ash made and it is a tradition
we honor. In addition, you should be wearing properly applied Mary Kay makeup!
Mary Kay Ethics: The primary factor that sets Mary Kay apart from other companies are
our principles and ethics. Always practice the golden rule and never take another
consultant’s customer. Honor the Mary Kay 100% guarantee completely and cheerfully.
When in doubt always do what’s best for your customer.
YOUR INCOME POTENTIAL WITH
MARY KAY COSMETICS
With Mary Kay, your ambition and effort really pay off,
whether you start out part-time or full-time!
We will base the average party size with 3 – 4 guests in attendance. If only 2 guests
purchase the TimeWise Miracle Set for $104, then retail sales for the party will be
approximately $200. This does NOT include any outside orders or color cosmetics sales.
Then, we will base the re-order sales on purchasing TimeWise every 8 weeks (that’s $54
each time, 6 times a year).
These numbers are VERY CONSERVATIVE!!
3 PARTIES PER WEEK (6-9 Hours per week*)
$200 sales x 3 parties/week = $600 Weekly Retail Sales
$600 x 50 weeks per year = $30,000 Retail Sales Per Year
6 Customers per week x 50 weeks = 300 New Customers Per Year
300 Re-orders x $294 per year = $88,200 Annual Re-order Sales
Total Annual Sales $118,200
Total Annual Profit (50%) = $59,100
2 PARTIES PER WEEK (4-7 Hours per week*)
$200 sales x 2 parties/week = $400 Weekly Retail Sales
$400 x 50 weeks per year = $20,000 Retail Sales Per Year
4 Customers per week x 50 weeks = 200 New Customers Per Year
200 Re-orders x $294 per year = $58,800 Annual Re-order Sales
Total Annual Sales $78,800
Total Annual Profit (50%) = $39,400
1 PARTY PER WEEK (2-4 Hours per week*)
$200 sales x 1 party/week = $200 Weekly Retail Sales
$200 x 50 weeks per year = $10,000 Retail Sales Per Year
2 Customers per week x 50 weeks = 100 New Customers Per Year
100 Re-orders x $294 per year = $29,400 Annual Re-order Sales
Total Annual Sales $39,400
Total Annual Profit (50%) = $19,700
*This includes 2 hours of training and Success Nights every week!
