Department: Sheriff – Photo Lab (Digital)               Requisition #:    SHE07-0182       Position #:    6665

Job Summary:          Assists in processing black, white and color prints and completing photography projects for departments and
                      outside agencies. Assist all Photo lab positions knowledgeable with digital and film camera techniques.
                      Photographing evidence, Portrait photography and studio set-up. Support Sheriff PIO, PES, District Attorney
                      Office and Law Enforcement agencies. Assist with all custom photography on and off site. Assist with server
                      and software development for new digital image implementation systems. Perform custom digital image
                      printing including color balance, crop, resize, mount, enlarge and retouch. Assist with preventive maintenance
                      on all Laboratory photographic equipment, maintain and store all camera equipment lenses, flashes, filters and
                      digital media. Prepare custom photographic exhibits for court, and perform all necessary finishing and
                      tabulations to complete all assigned tasks.
Qualifications:       Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Two (2) years experience in photographic processing
                      or in a clerical position, or 30 hours from an accredited college or university or a combination of the two.
                      Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and
                      in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and
                      the general public. Must be capable of color perception with no known allergies to photographic
                      chemicals. Ability to work in a darkroom. Mandatory drug testing prior to employment, and will be
                      subject to random, unannounced drug and/or alcohol testing during employment. Requires prolonged
                      sitting, standing, reaching, pulling, pushing and ability to lift up to 30 lbs., unassisted. (Moderate
                      computer skills, comfortable with Windows XP, All Microsoft Office applications, familiar with Adobe
                      Photoshop a must. Utilize Laser and large format digital printers. Proficient with film and flatbed
                      scanners, Network access and navigation for image retrieval and storage mandatory. Knowledge with all

Job Summary:          With supervision, operates courtesy vehicles and patrols assigned routes to detect, respond to and initiate
                      clearance procedures for congestion causing incidents and maintains a consistent flow of traffic at incident
                      locations.
Qualifications:       Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. One (1) year of work related experience in
                      automotive maintenance or two (2) years of stable work experience or thirty (30) hours from an accredited
                      college or university in a job related field of study or a combination of the two. Ability to effectively
                      communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships
                      with employees, departments and the general public. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and
                      good driving record.      Knowledge of basic automotive repair, highway construction and use of hand
                      power and emergency tools. Mandatory drug test prior to and during employment. Must successfully
                      complete a polygraph and extensive background investigation and is subject to random, unannounced
                      drug/alcohol testing.     Ability to understand and follow regulations and policies, as well as verbal
                      procedural tasks and instructions. May require prolonged driving and standing. May require moderate
                      lifting of tires, hand power tools, and emergency equipment. Works outside and is subject to all types of

Title: Communication Technician                         Grade: 08                          Salary Range: $12.88-$15.80/hr.

Job Summary:          Monitors the County's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, radio communication frequencies and security
                      and fire alarms, as well as dispatches appropriate support and provides necessary information to assist during
                      routine and emergency operations.
Qualifications:       Graduation from accredited high school/GED program. Three (3) years clerical/administrative work experience
                      or 45 hours of college or a combination of the two. Will be trained in tele-communication procedures and is
                      required to become TCLEOSE certified as a terminal operator to use the TLNETS/NLETS, NCIC, TCIC
                      and other computer crime systems. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and
                      establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general
                      public. Requires successful completion of a polygraph and extensive background investigation and is
                      subject to random, unannounced drug/alcohol testing. May require prolonged sitting, reaching, pulling,
                      pushing and lifting of up to 25 lbs., unassisted. Works 8-hour shifts covering 7-days/week, 24 hours/day

Title: Accounting Clerk IV                              Grade: 09                          Salary Range: $13.88-$17.04/hr.

Job Summary:          Performs a variety of complex accounting tasks at the senior level, to include processing and auditing various

                      with disabled vehicles and observes/notifies Courtesy Patrol Program Supervisor of traffic flow/congestion
                      problems on assigned routes. Requires extensive contact with law enforcement officials and the public.
Qualifications:       Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Three (3) years experience in automotive repair,
                      roadway maintenance and construction. Knowledge of basic automotive repair, highway construction, and use
