The Camp is available for all Cub Scout Ranks and, in the Bay Area Council includes programming for Boy Scouts 11-13 years old who are not yet first class scouts. Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts registering by their March Pack Meeting can attend camp for $60. Beginning April 30, 2008 the registration fee will be $75. This registration fee includes one camp T-shirt (extra T-shirts may be purchased for $10 each). Sibling groups include tots (3 to 5) and mustangs (girls 6-13). Children can only be registered in these groups if the parent is working on staff (these children only attend the days that the parent is on staff). Registration must be submitted to the Pack Camp coordinator. Camp activities for Cub Scouts include science, fitness, sports, range, and crafts. Most of the sessions will be tailored for Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos Scouts and Blazers, providing each group with an age appropriate and fun camp! In addition, there will be demonstrations and field experts performing special activities. A Call for Leaders As with most scouting activities, many leaders and volunteers are needed to operate a successful Twilight Camp. Every Pack must provide one adult leader for every three boys registered in their Pack; this is broken down into Staff members, Session Leaders, Den Leaders and Assistants. Adult volunteers must be U.S. citizens, 18 years or older, and will be registered as a BSA member in good standing with their Pack and District. All camp volunteers will be required to show proof of completion of the “Online Youth Protection Training” during the past 2 years. To satisfy Texas Department of Health and Boy Scouts of America day camp codes, all volunteers must attend a camp training session (approximately three hours) and a camp walkthrough. All volunteers must be screened through the Texas Child Predator database and pass a criminal background check conducted by the BSA. Junior Leaders We also need junior leaders to help in each area. Junior leaders are boys or girls between the ages of 14 and 17 years old. Junior leaders are allowed to choose the area in which they will assist. There is no registration fee for adult and junior staff volunteers. 14 year old boys and girls can serve as “Counselors in Training,” if the camp director feels that the applicant can handle the responsibility. All volunteers will be issued one camp T- shirt; additional shirts may purchase shirts for $10.00. Bring on the Siblings!!! Adult volunteers may enroll other dependents (i.e. not a cub scout) in the camp in either the Tots program (boys and girls ages 3-5) or the Mustang program (girls ages 6-13). The Mustang program will include various Girl Scout oriented activities. Young children in the Tot program will participate in many fun activities that complement the program theme. Registration fee for these programs is $15. This covers the cost of the program and includes one camp T-shirt. An extra T-shirt may be purchased for $10. Hurry and Sign-Up Today Space is limited so register early. Each Volunteer, Cub Scout, Tot, Mustang, Maverick and Blazer participant must complete a separate registration and health history form.
