             Achieved the highest patient satisfaction scores across Aptium Oncology, INC 6 years running;
             Consistently met an average of 95% accuracy in monthly compliance charge capture reports resulting
             in more timely billing and fewer denials;
             Engaged staff and physicians in collaborative problem solving to improve patient care, streamline
             processes, and maintain fiscal accountability;
             Received national recognition for a variety of clinical care innovations from the Oncology Nursing
             Society Congress, Oncology Roundtable Annual Meeting and publication in the Association of
             Community Cancer Centers “Oncology Issues” May 2009 issue;

Director Oncology Service Line: October 2011 – October 2012
Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the VP of Outpatient Clinical Services, accountable for all aspects of administrative and clinical
oversight of Upper Chesapeake Health’s outpatient Oncology Service Line; participant in collaborative leadership
with the University of Maryland Greenebaum comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC).
Key Results:
                  Facilitated operational restructuring Infusion Center
                  Conceptualized development of a formal group chemotherapy class for new patients
                  Coordinated performance improvement strategies for Cancer Committee oral chemotherapy
                  management program and improved coordination and care of concurrent radiation/chemo head
                  and neck patients
                  Developed and implemented new positions for an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (Infusion),
                  Financial Counseling program, and Oncology Nutrition program
                  Interfaced with the oncology physicians through regular 1-1 meetings
                  Implemented an interdepartmental Oncology Revenue Cycle team including additional support
                  for research billing in collaboration with UMGCCC.
                  Collaborated with the UMGCCC Research Director to develop a new research program to open
                  cooperative group trials. Provided mentorship to newly hired research nurse.
                  Partnered with Outpatient Rehab and the community “Y” to design a plan for a grant funded
                  cancer exercise program
                  Partnered with the American Cancer Society for the cancer program to be a county host
                  enrollment site for the 2012 CPS3 longevity study.

                  growth of 3-4% by mid year

Reported to VP of outpatient services, provided oversight to the cancer service line including a three medical
oncologist practice and office staff, outpatient medical oncology infusion units at 2 hospitals and a free standing
radiation oncology center.

    Key Results:
               Facilitated transition from hospital based practice to physician based practice
               Directed RT prostate seed program implementation in conjunction with RT and hospital
               Functioned as interim Radiation department manager
