							PLANNING A BLACK TIE DINNER…

Depending on the function of your event you will need to consider who is going to be
invited, what requirements you have of the venue, whether you will need to publicise
your event or even sell tickets.

When planning a black tie dinner it’s worth considering a few details which could
lend that extra special tone to your evening. Whether the night is a reunion,
fundraiser or annual event, we can take care of the details that will ensure your
evening is memorable.

Setting up the room can provide just the right atmosphere so your evening starts as it
means to go on. Consider how you would like the room arranged, how many people
should be seated per table, whether you wish to decorate your tables with centre-
pieces or would like place cards or even to theme your guests’ tables.

Would you like to provide complimentary wine on the tables or even receive your
guests with a glass of champagne, wine or welcome drink?

As your guests move through to the dining room, would you like to consider a guest
speaker? Would they require any equipment such as a microphone or PowerPoint?

To make sure the meal is enjoyed by all it is worth making yourself aware of your
guests’ dietary requirements. Any special menu stipulations for vegetarian, vegan,
celiac, or allergy related issues can be discussed prior to the event, helping give
everyone peace of mind for the event.

Are there to be after dinner speeches? Would you like to provide another drink for a
toast?

How would you like your evening to continue, would you like to provide background
music as your guests mingle and chat after dinner? Equipment can be hired from the
venue so that your choice of music, via CDs or iPod, provides the soundtrack to the
end of your event.

Fundraisers: Should your event be a fundraiser some popular ways for you to
incorporate raising money are: auctions, raffles, trivia nights and race nights.

We are more than happy to help you with guidance for your evening to ensure that
you and your guests have a memorable night.
