Qualifications         A degree or equivalent qualification in management,
                        business or health

Experience             Experience of management in voluntary or not-for-profit
                        organisations
                       Experience of working within a women’s organisation
                       Experience of working with volunteers
                       Experience of managing people and performance
                       Experience of strategic planning and policy development
                       Experience of resource management, including
                        procurement and contract management
                       Experience of supplying a variety of management
                        information
Knowledge &            Knowledge of services available to excluded and
Understanding           disadvantaged women and their families (e.g. through
                        health services, adult and children’s services, voluntary
                        sector)
                       Understanding and commitment to supporting and
                        sustaining a volunteer involving organisation
                       Knowledge of women’s health issues
                       Working knowledge of HR, legal, health and safety issues
                       Understanding of confidentiality policy and practice,
                        including data protection
                       Understanding of equality and diversity and practice
                        including HR
                       Up-to-date knowledge of IT platforms, applications and
                        office technologies
