                            WHEREAS, February 25, 2001, was indeed a special day in the lives

of Michael Patrick Ingersoll and Michelle Hanon Ingersoll, for on that day they became the

proud parents of an adorable baby boy, Michael Jereth Ingersoll; and

                            WHEREAS, Michael weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces, when he was born

at 5:15 a.m. at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where his parents are serving

their country as members of the United States Army; and

                            WHEREAS, Though Michael was born in Hawaii, his father is a

sixth-generation Texan, and it is thus fitting that this handsome little boy be accorded special

Texas citizenship at this time; now, therefore, be it

                            RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas

Legislature hereby recognize Michael Jereth Ingersoll as an honorary Texan and congratulate

Michael and Michelle Ingersoll on the birth of their son; and, be it further

                            RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for

Michael and his parents as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
