Which measures were taken in your country during the last year to improve national coordination in the reporting of official statistics to international agencies? -Last-level statistical information system has become a priority in the production of statistical indicators to meet the commitments made by the UK vis-à-vis the UN, which recommends countries to periodically renew their series of national accounts; -Morocco has adhered since 2005 to the Standard Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) IMF could meet the needs of increasingly growing in the field of production of statistical information; -Launching in 2004 of an integrated statistical operations nationwide that began with the completion of the General Census of Population and Housing 2004, an innovative step in the phase of data processing by using Automatic Reading of Documents. This was followed by a series of statistical surveys that are the main one on the living standards of households (2006/2007), the investigation of the informal sector (2006/2007) and investigation of structure (2007 / 2008) have focused more productive sectors of the economy. It was conducted in parallel with other operations such as the promotion of sectoral statistics, the reform of the index cost of living (ICV) which is now replaced by the index of consumer prices (CPI) or further innovation introduced for the collection of data from the National Survey on Employment, which is based since early 2008 on the collection method assisted by computer (CAPI). Moreover, since 2008, the Department of Statistics under the HCP, located in the heart of the national statistical information, has developed a strategy for statistical development for the next five years, called "Action Plan 2008 - 2012, -Strengthening the legal and institutional framework of the national statistical system, including the revision of legislation on the statistical law, the National Council of Statistics and the national directory of businesses. -Organizing a regional workshop on "National Strategies for Statistical Development" support for monitoring and evaluating progress made towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2010 and other development goals. 2.j. Please describe current problems in your country on reporting mechanisms of data used for the MDG indicators to international agencies: -Strengthening the legal and institutional framework of the national statistical system, including the revision of legislation on the statistical law, the National Council of Statistics and the national directory of businesses. - The statistical operations in terms of demographic and health surveys are not periodic (especially health conducted by the Ministry of Health) to assess demographic parameters, including maternal and child mortality (Goal 4, 5 and 6) ; .
