					   KENTINVESTMENT SOCIETY
                      Application for Ratification

28th September 2010
MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Kent Invest is to provide its members with valuable
hands on experience in the capital markets. The activities of the
fund will be directed but not limited to students, faculty and staff.
The fund is unique in the sense that it’s primary policy is “Education
through Action.” The fund will allow members to develop their own
strategies for responsible investing, thus allowing them to gain a
first-hand understanding of the forces behind the global securities
 markets.

                                                 KENTINVESTMENTS
Why become a society?

Reasons KENTINVEST should be a society at the
       University of Kent:

I. Kent Invest has a valuable service to offer students.
II. The University currently does not have a society targeting student
       interests in investing.
III. Bring students from all faculties together.
IV. By participating in the Kent Invest Fund, students will equip
themselves with skills to improve their academic work.

                                                  KENTINVESTMENTS
Why become a society? cont.

I. Kent Invest has a valuable service to offer students:

     – The Kent Investment society has managed to acquire a
valuable sponsorship for the 2010-2011 year with FACTSET.

     – FACTSET will enable the society to maintain a virtual portfolio
           throughout the year.

     – The society will be able to offer a hands-on interactive learning
           environment.

                                                    KENTINVESTMENTS

2. The University currently does not have a society targeting
     student interests in investing.

     – An Investment Society has existed before, our plan is to establish
         a new long lasting Society.

     – The closest resemblance to our Society are; the Economics,
Maths, and the Accounting and Finance societies. Our aim is to
specifically target investing using the model of a real-life
         investment club.

3. Bring students from all faculties together.

     – Investing is a discipline that will appeal to all students from all
faculties. We will look to attract members from the full range of
courses at the University. Through diversity, the fund will benefit
from a wide range of skills.
     – The Financial Services dominates the UK economy. We seek to
provide the relevant knowledge and skills for students to target a
           career in finance.

                                                        KENTINVESTMENTS
