Which Ugly Betty Character Loves Baby Clothes from Estella, Designed for Children?
The March 5, 2009 episode of ABC‘s hit comedy series Ugly Betty will include one or more of the show’s main characters going on a shopping trip to Estella Designed for Children

New York, NY – New York City’s favourite sitcom meets New York City’s favourite ba clothes boutique, when one of the central characters of ABC’s Ugly Betty proclaims their love for the designer children’s clothing store Estella Designed for Children (http://www.estellanyc.com), when episode 317 of Ugly Betty airs next Thursday, March 5th. Ugly Betty, starring America Ferrera, Eric Mabius, Tony Plana, Ana Ortiz, Ashley Jensen, Becki Newton, Mark Indelicato, Michael Urie, Judith Light, Christopher Gorham, Rebecca Romijn and Vanessa Williams, is based on an extremely popular Colombian telenovela called Yo Soy Betty La Fea. The original story was adapted for North American audiences into a one hour show that centers on the New York City fashion world. The story follows the life unglamorous but extremely kind and hardworking Betty Suarez (Ferrera) and her incongruous job at the ultra-chic New York City fashion magazine Mode, with its outrageous cast of misfits and fashionistas. Now in its third season, Ugly Betty has become an audience favourite, winning many awards and nominations due to its cutting humour, fine ensemble cast and numerous guest appearances by a variety of popular stars. The series is particularly popular in New York City where it is filmed.

Filming the television sitcom in New York City gives the series Ugly Betty an authenticity that is often lacking in shows that do not shoot on location. Episode 317, which features the designer kids clothing boutique Estella, is typical of the show’s writers’ use of popular local references. Many in the New York fashion world know that Estella is THE store for the best baby clothing and designer children’s clothes. By utilizing in their story-line an actual store where real-life fashion insiders love to shop, like Estella, the writers give Ugly Betty more authenticity. “We are very excited that Estella Designed for Children will be featured on Ugly Betty. The value of being seen on a major prime time television show is tremendous,― states Chike Chukwulozie, Owner of Estella Designed for Children. “In order to celebrate this exciting major event for our baby boutique, we will be holding a contest on our blog. To enter, simply go to the Estella Blog at (http://blog.estella-nyc.com/?cat=355), before Episode 317 airs on March 5, 2009 and correctly answer the following question: Which Ugly Betty character states that Estella is his/her "favorite place in the city"? All those who answer the question correctly will qualify to enter into a draw to win a $250 shopping spree at Estella Designed for Children. We wish all contest participants good luck and hope that everyone will be watching Ugly Betty on the 5th of March,― adds Chukwulozie.
