This addendum is issued before the execution of the contract to inform bidders of revisions to the bid
documents referenced above. This addendum is hereby made a part of the bid documents and shall be
included in the contract.

The requirements contained in the bidding documents shall apply to this addendum. The work called for
in this addendum shall be the same as set forth in the applicable portions of the bid documents unless
otherwise specified in this addendum. All incidental work necessitated by this addendum, as required to
properly complete the work, shall be included in the bids even though not specifically stated in this
addendum.


Questions/Answers

    1. Question: Who will be responsible for the interior door trim that must be removed in order to
       get the drywall out?

        Answer: Include the cost of removing the door trim with care so that it can be reinstalled after
        new drywall is installed. Provide unit cost on bid sheet as well.


    2. Question: There are portions of the floor that have been removed in the bathrooms upstairs.
       Will the housing authority provide temporary covering to prevent someone from falling through
       the hole during the abatement work?

        Answer: Yes, the housing authority will ask the general contractor to place a temporary
        covering over the open holes in the floor as well as the excavations on the first floor prior to
        start of the abatement work.

    3. Question: Some of the building types are not included with the floor plans provided. Can we
       get the 5-bedroom unit building configuration floor plans?

         Answer: The additional floor plans are available for pick-up at ESLHA’s central office.


    4.    Question: In some of the bathrooms upstairs there are existing vanities. Do you want us to
         remove the vanities?

         Answer: Yes, the abatement contractor will be removing the vanities and setting them aside for
         reinstallation after the new drywall is installed.


    5. Question: Do ESLHA want two to four layers of drywall removed or only the first layer?

         Answer: For bidding purposes, please bid on the first layer only. The Unit Pricing will be used if
         a change order is needed.


    6. Question: Will ESLHA be removing the ceilings on the second floor?

         Answer: Yes. However, please see Revised Bidding Sheet attached which includes alternate
         deducts.

Note: There were three pages of the floor plan inadvertently omitted. If you would like the
remaining pages, or a complete set of floor plans, they are available for pick up only, at the central
office located at 700 North 20th Street, East St. Louis, IL 62205.
