* Always buy a larger size than they actually need because babies grow so fast. Clothes that fit perfectly now will probably be too small in a few weeks. Buying baby clothes in a larger size will extend the amount of time they will be able to wear them, thus saving you money.
* Consider the season: Think for a minute about the clothes labels that give size in terms of a baby's age, such as 9 or 12 months. Then consider what the weather or temperature will be like when your baby is X months old. This will help you to buy clothes that not only fit, but will also be appropriate for the time of year.
* Pick outfits that are easy to put on: Strange as it may seem, not all baby clothes are designed to be user friendly, especially if you are struggling to dress or change a wriggling baby. Those outfits that come in several pieces, button up the back or slip over the head may call for more patience and time. You might not make a lot of money and certainly not what you originally paid for them, still, you'll at least get some of your money back.
