Introduction
The AMCEWG program on drug abuse was
initiated in 1993.
The AMCEWG program on drug abuse was
established to respond to regional and policy
needs pertaining to drug abuse.
The representative from Taiwan attended the
AMCEWG meetings from 1997 to 1999.

The AMCEWG meetings which
were held in the University
Sains Malaysia,
representatives mostly from
south and east Asian cities
joined and reported their
