JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL
All exhibits to be staged by 12 NOON-on TUESDAY 24TH 2012
All exhibits to be left at owners risk.
No exhibit to be removed before 6.00pm.. on show day.
Prize money will be paid out at 6.00pm.. in the Home Produce Arts
& Crafts section on Show Day.
Each exhibit to be marked with label provided
All exhibits must be exhibitors own work
No exhibits to have been shown at Nantwich Show previously
No exhibits to be removed without producing an exhibitors card
No entries to exceed two per class
No unauthorised persons will be allowed in the Home Produce Arts
& Crafts area during judging
NO FISH or FRESH CREAM to be used in any exhibit
NO responsibility taken for exhibits left after 6.30PM.

Award plagues will be given annually to the winners in the
Produce,Handicraft,Wine and Art Sections. Presentation of
trophies to be held in the Home Produce Arts & Crafts
section at 4.30pm.on show day.

Entries to be made in 26oz clear punted wine bottles. Plain flanged
corks only. Air space half an inch from bottom of cork. Plain white
labels supplied must have Class no [W1] placed 1in. from the
bottom and in the centre of the bottle seams.

Remember: A judge looks for:
   1…Absence of trade names on jars and lids
   2…Well polished clean jars with label and correct covers
   3…Bright characteristic colour and true flavour
   4…Full jar with slight natural shrinkage
   5…Waxed discs are not essential when using screw type lids
   6…No cellophane covers on pickles/chutneys
   7…All CURDS must have a waxed disc with a cellophane cover
   8…All PRESERVES must have the FULL DATE on label
       e.g. 10 June 2012
   9..Chutney..allow at least 2 months. to mature
   10..A/V stands for any variety

CO-OP70 “A TAKE A COUNTRY”
     3 items of produce, can include a drink (e.g. cordial)
     2 items of handicraft
    NO flowers/floristry to be judged

     To be staged within an area of 2ft.6ins.wide x 2ft. deep and
     not to exceed a height of 2ft.9ins.----other items may be used
     for staging purposes.
     Exhibitors to provide own staging.


CO-OP71 “CELEBRATION PICNIC”
     Consisting of 3 different items of produce attractively staged
     on your own covered base -2ft.6ins.wide x 2ft.deep,
     backboards may be used and these must be firmly attached
     to the base.


CO-OP72 “CHOOSE ONE COLOUR GOLD/SILVER OR BRONZE”
       Consisting of 3 items of handicraft attractively staged on
       your own covered base 2ft.6ins.wide x 2ft.deep,
       backboards may be used and these must be firmly attached
       to the base.

N.B. CLASSES CO-OP.70…CO-OP71…CO-OP72..
     All three are open to individual or co-operative entries.
     NO FISH to be used in any exibit..
     NO FLOWERS /FLORISTRY to be judged.

RECIPES.

CLASS 30. CHEESE SHORTBREAD.
Pre heat oven.. gas4:: electric 180c:[350f] approx
Cut into own shapes
Ingredients.4oz butter. 4oz plain flour.2oz ground rice.
2oz cheddar cheese[finely grated].cayenne pepper
    Method
1. Rub butter flour and ground rice until it looks like breadcrumbs
2. Stir in the cheese and pinch of cayenne.
3. Roll out and cut into shapes—place onto baking tray
4. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20mins approx
5. Sprinkle lightly with cayenne and garnish with parsley

CLASS 31. SUGAR and SPICE RINGS.
Pre heat oven;gas7::Electric 200/210c::
Well butter a 8in.round tin.
Ingredients
1.5 oz butter. 8oz S.R flour. half tsp.salt.0:25pt milk
Filling…1oz butter. 2oz.caster sugar.1.5oz currants.
1 level tsp.cinnamon
 Method.
1   Sift flour and salt into bowl
2   Rub in butter--add milk all at once
3   Mix to soft dough –turn on to lightly floured board
4   Knead into rectangle 8in x 12in—brush with butter
5   Mix sugar, cinnamon and currants—sprinkle over butter
6   Moisten edges of dough with water—roll up like swiss roll
7   Cut into 12 slices—arrange cut sides down into prepared tin
9   Bake towards top of preheated oven for 15-20mins approx
    until risen and golden—turn out on to cooling rack
