									obesity can cause cancer

As can be seen, the adipose tissue is not only a place to sleep for the storage of calories. Most of
them can be prevented - After the American Institute for Cancer Research, more than 100,000
cases of cancer in the United States associated with excess body fat.

The data show that at the top of the list of cancers associated with obesity endometrium through
the esophagus, pancreas, kidney, and be among others. Associated increase in body fat:

49% of endometrial cancers (20,700 cases / year)
35% of esophageal cancer (5800 cases / year)
28% of pancreatic cancer (11,900 cases / year)
24% of kidney cancer (13,900 cases / year)
21% of gallbladder cancer (2,000 cases / year)
17% of breast cancers (33,000 cases / year)
9% of colorectal cancers (13,200 cases / year)

Revolutionary - and surprisingly - a study in the journal ACS Proteome Research published
showed that fat cells release dozens of active hormones, which act as intermediaries in various
parts of the body. Scientists believe that these chemical signals may not only contribute to
cancer, but a host of other chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

"Obviously," said Laurence Kolonel, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Director, Center for Cancer
Research of Hawaii and a member of the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR)
experts. "If people maintain a healthy body weight and remain physically active throughout life.
Significant effect on the incidence of cancer"

A recent study adds more evidence for many of the negative effects of obesity on the incidence
of cancer. Previous studies have shown that excessive fat causes increased levels of
inflammatory compounds promote blood circulation and oxidative stress in the body, which leads
to DNA mutation and impaired immune function. These two factors are conductive, not only for
the formation of the infected cells, but also the distribution.

Risk reduction
If you do not want to become a victim of chronic degenerative diseases such as cancer,
maintaining a healthy body weight, reduce stress and choosing alkaline forming foods will do
wonders for maintaining optimal health.

The American Cancer Society recommends at least 30 minutes of physical activity five days a
week or more. Losing excess weight may even benefit upon diagnosis. "A growing number of
studies have shown that regular physical activity, the survival rate for cancer has also improved
among survivors who are overweight or obese," said Melinda Irwin, PhD, MPH, associate
professor of epidemiology at Yale University School of Medicine. "This really is a message here."
