TOOTH WHITENING-Remewhite BEFORE TOOTH WHITENING

									TOOTH WHITENING-Remewhite
Teeth whitening is an aesthetic dental procedure, which aims to transform healthy but stained
teeth into a bright and snow-white smile, which is typical of movie stars within a few hours
only.

There are numerous whitening products on the market with different efficiency lasting for
shorter or longer periods of time, which is also reflected in their prices. The efficiency of a
whitening tray to be worn at home during a single night cannot be compared to that of a
serious dental treatment performed by using special materials; however, the effects of the two
procedures may strengthen each other.

Remewhite type teeth whitening using UV light is the procedure we apply in our dentistry,
which is considered to be one the most efficient and longest lasting teeth whitening treatments
to be used at present. It is a painless treatment since only a lower concentration of a special
gel is applied on the teeth during the procedure thanks to the beneficial effects of the
Remewhite lamp. The special pre-treatment gel allows patients with sensitive teeth to have
teeth as white as snow.

BEFORE TOOTH WHITENING
Whitening in almost all the cases is preceded by oral hygienic treatment as a cavity of stained
and scaled teeth cannot be whitened.

THE ESSENCE OF TOOTH WHITENING
As teeth whitening is merely an aesthetic procedure, it has no direct medical reasons.
However, it has numerous social incentives. Beautiful and healthy teeth imply confidence and
happiness, thus, no wonder that a bright smile is sign of satisfaction, health and joy in every
society.

Before an important trip abroad, a significant family occasion, decisive discussion, television
appearance or a photo shooting, the treatment is worth trying since whitening provides a
visibly bright and snow-white smile.

Teeth whitening can be perfectly inserted into other services provided by Hotel at any time,
be it a general beauty treatment or a plastic procedure, as whitening may be performed
painless during few hours’ of awaiting between two treatments.

THE WHITENING PROCEDURE
First, a special cheek retractor is applied to comfortably keep lips apart during the treatment.
Then, a gingival protector “mousse” is used, which protects the gingiva and soft tissue from
the whitening gel. The next step is to apply the whitening gel on the outer surface of the teeth,
which is to be lit using the Remewhite lamp. As a result, the whitening material (hydrogen
peroxide) is activated, and the released active oxygen smoothly removes stains from the
surface and deeper layers of the teeth. As a final step, the teeth are covered by a protective
layer.
AFTER WHITENING
After the whitening treatment, the consumption of certain types of food and beverages must
be avoided; and no tobacco product is allowed.

Coffee, black tea red wine and most food containing food colours leave a mark on the snow-
white tooth surface almost instantly. Fast food restaurant offers or expressly harsh-colour
dishes produce the same results, and therefore the consumption of such products must be
avoided.

The duration of the whitening effects may depend on how abstinent patients are. It is not
recommended to perform whitening treatments too often (sooner than every third month),
especially in parallel with the consumption of the contraindicated food and beverages.

POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS OF TEETH
WHITENING
Teeth whitening has no complications. Nevertheless, should you have a burning and
uncomfortable feeling following the treatment, do not hesitate to tell your dentist.

After the treatment, teeth are extremely sensitive to cold and warm temperatures, therefore,
the consumption of icy or hot beverages and food should be avoided for a few hours.
