Registration:
A non-refundable fee of $20.00 per student is required yearly at time of registration to guarantee a spot in the class.
Summer students are not required to pay a registration fee.

Payment of Fees:
Tuition must be paid on the first day of the new session (4 weeks – see payment schedule), payment is accepted in the
form of: cash, check or pay pal (monies to be sent to: lakeshoredance@gmail.com). Any check that is returned as
non-sufficient funds will be charged a $30.00 fee. Summer Classes must be paid for in full (8 week session only)

Costume Payments:
All students participating in the annual dance recital are required to pay a costume fee. A $20.00 deposit is required by
January 5 of each year for the Spring Show and is non-refundable. The balance of the costume is due by February 28 of
that same year. Costume rates are as follows: *Preschool - $40.00 *Kinder dance - $45.00
*Ages 5-8 - $50.00 *Ages 9 and up - $60.00 *Adults 18 and over will vary according to instructor

Dress Code:
Students are required to wear proper dance attire at all times! Preschool & Kinder dance students are expected to wear a
leotard and tights (any color) at all times – skirts are optional. Please keep in mind that tumbling is involved and
cumbersome skirts or dresses are a hindrance. Pink Ballet shoes and black or tan tap shoes are also required. Jewelry
should not be worn. No gum in class! All ballet students must wear a leotard and tights and pink ballet shoes. All other
students should see their instructor for specific instructions on dance wear. Dance clothing should fit tight to the body. No
jeans, pajama pants or clothes that reveal too much skin can be worn.

Attendance / Lateness:
Please do your best to keep students on time to class – once class starts it is disrupting for students to walk in once we
have started. Please allow time for little ones to use the bathroom prior to class! Keep in mind that the instructors are
building and continuing dance instruction on a weekly basis. Information missed is difficult to obtain if a student misses
frequently.

Care of Students:
The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Students are not to be left at the school
for excessive time periods before or after their classes. We do however understand that “things” come up…

Injuries:
Parents, legal guardians of minors, students and adult students waive the right to any injury sustained on school property
resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class time.

Withdrawals and Refunds:
There is a 2-month minimum for all lessons. A one-month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any
classes (special circumstances will be considered). Withdrawals must be communicated to the director of the school only.
No refunds will be given to students who withdraw early. Pro-ration of tuition will be considered only when a new student
joins classes. No refunds will be given for costume fees and/or deposits on costume fees. Lakeshore Academy of the
Arts LLC reserves the right to terminate student’s lessons for whatever reason. In such a case a refund will be given.

Missed Classes:
Students who miss classes are able to do a “makeup” class at any location. Students will not be given a refund of tuition
for missing classes. If classes are cancelled by the Academy, we then assume responsibility to provide an extra class for
that day. All weather related cancellations will be listed on WZZM TV 13 and WOOD TV 8.
