Woden is the heart of the Canberra Southern Cross Club. It is where the Club was first
founded and is the biggest venue of all six.
The recent addition of the state-of-the-art Events Centre has propelled it into a new league, making it a serious contender
for the National Capital’s top conference and event venue. For years Woden’s main entertainment venue, Top of the Cross,
has been providing the Canberra community with a constant line-up of quality, live entertainment. Woden also boasts three
affordable quality restaurants, ranging from award-winning contemporary French cuisine to bistro fare and features two

Top of the Cross
The Top of the Cross is the second largest of the Club’s function rooms, accommodating up to 340 guests for a sit down
dinner. Featuring a sunken dance floor and raised stage, superior light and sound equipment, a large bar and amenities it is
ideal for large weddings and dinner-dance events and has been used to host numerous successful concerts and dinner shows
over the years.
The Orion Room is also equipped with full facilities, from a serviced bar, built-in dance floor, ceiling party lights and
shimmers, full amenities, CD player, a wall-mounted television and video unit and views of the distant mountains. With a
seating capacity of 100 guests for dinner and 120 for a conference the room is ideal for any medium sized event or seminar.
Private Dining Room
The salubrious intimacy of the Private Dining Room has a romantic and comfortable atmosphere. Featuring a CD system for
