I have been working for Nomad Espresso as a causal barista for three years. Nomad espresso
has around 18 portable carts that cater to sporting events, shows and private functions. I
take customer orders, handle money, clean and close up the carts at the end of events. A
cart is operated by 2 staff, and I am often the senior of that particular station. I also see to the
other carts to assist other staff when taking meal breaks, replenishing stock and ensuring
things are running smoothly.

Volunteer - Volunteer teacher/teacher aid/carer
For six weeks I taught English in Cambodia. I taught English to high school students in the
mornings, and taught younger children, land mine victim’s and orphans in the afternoons.
I also spent two weeks assisting where I could in the orphanage for children with disabilities
and Agent Orange victims in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Here I would talk, play and care for
the children, help the physiotherapists when they do the therapies for the children, feed the
children and teach some children to feed themselves and take them in their wheel chairs for
a walk in the orphanage’s front garden
