Doodle for Google Contest Google is hosting a competition that allows children to play around with their homepage logo and create a new doodle to add to this logo. Google has their own doodle artist who often adds doodles to the logo, especially on holidays. Kids are invited to doodle around the theme: “What I Wish for the World.” Google encourages the kids to think big and dream big. I know that our Scarlet Oak Cardinals will create amazing art work! Students can only enter this contest through our school. All entries are due to Ms. Amoni at Scarlet Oak School the morning of March 17, 2009. Our staff will then choose the six best entries to submit to Google. Each school is only allowed to submit six entries to the contest. If you choose to enter the contest, here are the important facts to remember:  The doodle must be represented on a white, landscape, 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper  The doodle can be created in pencil, crayon, felt tip, paint, computer drawing, or design software  The entry must be an original creation by the student.  All drawings must have a completed doodle entry form & parental consent form attached to them. o The art work should be on top. o The doodle entry form & parental consent form should be under the art work.  The doodle entry form & parental consent form should be attached to the art work by a staple in the top left corner of the page. o Please leave the school id # line blank on the doodle entry form.  Ms. Amoni will fill in this information.  Each student may only submit one drawing in the contest.  Students can create their doodles on a Google template provided in this packet. o You can also print your own color copy of a Google template by visiting the following website: http://www.google.com/doodle4google/info.html  There is box on the left hand side of the screen that says NECESSARY FORMS. Then click on one of the Doodle Templates.  Turn in your artwork and forms to Ms. Amoni, in room 108 at Scarlet Oak School by 9:00 A.M. on March 17, 2009.  Entries that do not follow the proper procedure will not be eligible to advance in this contest. There are many stages of this competition with great prizes for the finalists! I wish everyone the best of luck! Please contact me with any questions. The school phone number is 708-687-5822, and my e-mail address is eamoni@arbor145.org. GO DOODLE! --Ms. Amoni
