US Alumni and Friends: How to Support Us
University of the Arts London has a relationship with CAFAmerica, a US 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that qualifies for income tax deductions. CAFAmerica is dedicated to expanding borderless charitable giving and is working to change the culture of giving by making international philanthropy safe, easy and effective. By donating through CAFAmerica, you (the donor) are able to specify that a gift be made to the foreign nonprofit of your choice. Please note: As University of the Arts London is not a Donor Advised Fund or a 'Friends of’ Charity Fund, CAFAmerica is unable to accept donations of less than $500 for a single gift. Donations of less than $500 will be returned to the donor less applicable administrative fees.* Online Giving US tax payers can donate online using their credit card.* 1. Go to www.cafamerica.org and click on Donate Now. 2. Select Make a single gift and complete online form. 3. For the section Suggest a foreign non-profit, please indicate University of the Arts London as your suggested charitable organization, including one of the College’s if you wish. Do not tick the box for Donate to CAFAmerica. 4. After completing the online form and clicking Continue, you will come to the Donor Verification page. Please verify that all the gift information is correct. If you have any changes, use the browser's 'Back' button. 5. Once you are satisfied with the gift information, please click the Donate button, located at the bottom of the Donor Verification page, to proceed with your gift. 6. CAFAmerica will send a receipt and instruct you on how to claim your income tax deduction.
Giving via a Gift Form 1. Please complete the CAFAmerica Gift Form. If you do not have this form, it can be found on the websites for CAFAmerica http://www.cafamerica.org/dnn/Home/DonateNow/tabid/148/Default.aspx and University of the Arts London http://www.arts.ac.uk/37370.htm 2. For the Gift Information section, please select one of the available options. If you are giving by check, please make sure it is payable to CAFAmerica. Gifts of stock or for wire transfer instructions, please contact CAFAmerica on info@cafamerica.org or by phone on 703-549-8931. 3. For the section Suggest my gift be used to support, please indicate University of the Arts London as your suggested charitable organization, including one of the College’s if you wish. Please see College names listed above if you wish to specify. Do not tick the box for CAFAmerica.
