									Maximising A Small Space.
When remodelling a home, it is important to look at every aspect of its potential. This can be
especially true when space is at a premium, as is often the case in cities like London. As professional
architects, we can certainly help if you are looking to do something like build an en-suite bathroom
into a bedroom that is less than palatial, or find other ways to get more living space out of a limited
square footage. If it is a new build, we know all the best ways in which to make the most of the play
of light through your home so that it feels like a wonderful space to inhabit. Also, if you live a
terrace, attic duplex or apartment that you would like to turn into an amazing home, we know how.

However, beyond the structural work, which we can advise on with your specific home in mind,
there are a number of ways in which that you can enhance your living experience within a small
space in the meantime:

    • Create zones – set areas for Sleeping, eating, working, storage and so forth. Organised space
        automatically feels much bigger.

    • Declutter – Have a big clear out of all the things you rarely use, from furniture to clothes. A
more minimalist approach will work well with bijou dimensions.

    • Be storage smart – Underbed storage and stylish shelves combine attractive features with a
        useful, space-saving function.

    • Use stylish decor – Busy patterns rarely flatter space, but few a simple shades, like a one
light, bright coloured feature wall with cream shades elsewhere, can make your space look
modern and inviting. Mirrors can also make a huge difference, giving the illusion of space.

Whilst you are planning the bigger picture for your home, be canny and make it work best for you.
