During each step of energy conversion application of scientific knowledge and skill for the safe smooth
operation and to improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, and economical aspects of Power station.
Providing direct supervision to Supervisors, technicians and operators involved in boiler, combustion and
water chemistry, oil testing, wastewater treatment operation, sampling, chemical analysis, and other related
activities, responsible for the short and long term evaluation of the chemical processes, recommending and
implementing changes in chemical processes, liaison between company and regulatory agencies on sampling
and operational issues related to plant chemistry and Environment, Steam/Water and oil analysis and
treatment, and to prepare data, reports and procedures for company use or submission, assist in the research
and preparation of documentation for permits and licenses as requested.

As F.B.C (Coal fired) Thermal power station is one of the latest and economical and lesser pollutant
Power station. Since fluidised bed prepared by CaCO 3 and pulverised coal used as fuel and de-
sulphuring occurs during combustion. Then removed by spent bed cooler in form of CaSO 4. Which
used as bi-product in refectory and cement industry.

(Batch Plant Operator)
As mixing and melting supervisor I applied my scientific knowledge and skill since raw material arrived till
finished good’s quality. I also participated Glass Furnace Operation, manufacturing, repair, with approval of

MELTING OF GLASS IN TANK FURNACE.
Melting of composed batch in three types of furnace. Unit melter, regenerative, reciprocal furnace.
Observation of temperature of each zone of furnace i.e. mixing, melting, refining, furnace throat, working end
to produce high quality molten glass for the forming of glass for the forming the glass container, sheet.
FURNACE MAINTENANCE AND REPARING.
Preparing tank furnace and regenerative according to the drawing and by the specific refractory. Firing the
new furnace by expansion control. Repairing the damaged portion of furnace of furnace during operation.
Keeping watch on finished goods according to accurate quality level that the maximum efficiency can be
achieved, maintenance for the ISO 9002 certification. Document control of production, shut down, planning,
procurement and monthly sectional report. Keeping raw material in handsome stock.

5. JOB ASSIGNMENTS IN CEMENT INDUSTRY.
As associate engineer for the unit operation while physical and chemical changes to provide scientific skill to
improve the efficiency, reliability and availability following assignments were as under.
CRUSHING OF LIME STONE & IRON ORE.
Operating the 700 t/h jaw crusher and keeping watch through Chemical and Mechanical aspects and pilling
of crushed lime stone in yard. Conveying of Raw material through conveyor belt and bucket elevator to raw
PREPERATION OF MEAL.
Composition of raw material i.e. lime stone, iron ore, clay blending in horizontal raw mill by keeping watch on
panel the bearing temperature, flow media temperature, diaphragm inspection that over size should not
pass, lubricating and cooling system of raw mill.
PRE-HEATING THE RAW MEAL IN PRE-HEATER.
As de-composition and clinkarisation is the most important role of Associate Engineer. Feeding the meal in to
pre-heater from silo through bucket elevator and weigh feeder, maintaining the temperature, pressure in pre-
heater’s cyclones with help of centrifugal force creating by induced draft fan as flue gases from rotary kiln is
passing through purging pre-heater, raising temperature in pre-calcinator with help of additional burners,
frequent purging with service air of cyclones that the meal should not block in cones of each cyclone and
Operating 50 meter long rotary kiln by maintaining required rotation according to feed of meal, maintaining
temperature by high pressure burner as meal interred at kiln tell after pr-heater in molten face so at each
zone i.e melting de-composing and clinkarisation zone required temperature, maintaining and keeping watch
of R.F.O pressure, atomisation and flame condition, cooling the clinker in great cooler and conveying the
clinker in qualified or unqualified silo. Combustion control by flue gases analysis.
Cooling tower vacuum, flow of flue gas, temperature control by water spray, inspection of nozzles. Electric
precipitator, monitoring, the voltage and ampere. Inspection of anodic and cathodic action that dust should
not travel along with flue gases into stack. Boiler operation to provide steam for heating R.F.O. Instrument air
compressor operation. Operating the cement and raw mill.
