							               ST. STEPHEN’S COLLEGE WILSON WANG WATER SPORTS CENTRE
                    Conditions for using the Wilson Wang Water Sports Centre (2012)

1.   Registered users may use St. Stephen’s College Swimming Pool and its Car Park at the Wilson Wang
     Water Centre during opening hours.

2.   Users must present their user cards for admission to the facilities and should produce their cards on
     demand by College Personnel.

3.   All users shall observe all regulations regarding the use of the facilities and the instructions given by the
     College Personnel.

4.   Registration of the user is subject to the approval of the College. The user card is not transferable and
     registration fee paid is not refundable.

5.   If a user card is lost or stolen, the user concerned shall notify the College immediately by telephone and
      confirm the loss in writing as soon as possible. A duplicate may be issued to replace a lost card at a fee
      of $25.00

6.   Validity of user card automatically expires on 31st October 2012.    The membership will cease once the
     user is no longer a member of the College.

7.   Membership of Secondary 6 and 7 students automatically expires on the last day of the school year, that is,
     31st August while that of all other students expires on 31 st October, 2012. The membership will cease
     once the student withdraws from the College or the Preparatory School.

8.   User cards remain the property of the College and registration may be revoked by the College at any time
     without prior notice.

9.   Only users’ vehicles with car park labels properly displayed on the windscreens may use the pool car park
     free during the opening hours of the Swimming Pool on a first-come-first-served basis. When the car
     park is full, the gate will be closed.

10. All cars must be parked as directed by the College personnel.

11. Users using the swimming pool should change in the changing rooms and are required to adopt a dress
    standard that will not offend others.

12. Users should take care when walking on wet floors in the swimming pool area.

13. Only swimmers in appropriate swimming costumes and persons authorized by the College are permitted in
    the pool side area.

14. Before entering the pool and the pool side areas, all swimmers must shower themselves thoroughly and
    wash their feet in the footbath.

15. No person suffering from any infectious or communicable disease is allowed to enter the pool.

16. While using the pool, persons with long hair must wear swimming caps to avoid blockage of the filtration
     plant by loose long hair.
    (For the purpose of this rule, shoulder length hair is interpreted as long.)

17. Jumping into the pool is not allowed. Games and aids which may cause hindrance to other swimmers are
     prohibited in the pool and pool side areas.
18. No person wearing footwear of any description, except clean and unsoiled rubber/plastic flip-flops, shall
    enter the pool side areas. Rubber/plastic flip-flops, if worn, must be washed in the footbath.

19. No person using the swimming pool is allowed to use suntan lotion.

20. No eating, smoking, drinking or carrying of glasses or bottles is allowed within the pool side areas.

21. No audio-visual or musical equipment may be used in the vicinity of the swimming pool except with
    personal earphones.

22. No un-authorized coaching is permitted at the pool.

23. The use of breakable and easily chipped swimming aids is not allowed in the pool.

24. Children under the age of 12 are required to be carefully supervised by a parent/guardian when they are
    using pool facilities.

25. Users of the pool are required to obey lifeguards and pool staff and bear in mind that these personnel are
    required to carry out their duties.

26. All users of the pool must leave the pool area at the end of each session at the sound of a bell (15 minutes
    before the Pool closing time).

27. When the number of users at the pool areas reaches the permissible limit, the pool personnel are
    authorized to close the entrance gate temporarily.

28. The College and the Preparatory School are not liable for any damage to or loss of property of the users.

29. Registered staff members can bring guests on Saturdays, Sundays, school and public holidays; and the
    admission fee is $25 (including parking fee) per guest per session. The staff members concerned are held
    responsible for the admission fees, the behaviour of their guests and the damages, if any, caused by their
    guests.

30. The College and the Preparatory School are not liable for death or personal injury occurring in the Wilson
    Wang Water Sports Centre.

31. The College reserves the rights to amend or modify the conditions of using the Wilson Wang Water
    Sports Center at any time and any such change will become effective upon notification to members by any
    means the College deems fit.

32. The College has the right to close the swimming pool / car park without prior     notice in the event of
    adverse weather conditions or for school functions.

       together with a crossed cheque for the appropriate fee made out to the order of “ST. STEPHEN’S COLLEGE SWIMMING POOL
       ACCOUNT” which would be refunded in full if the application is not accepted.
