2013 Proposed Final Budget

Mayor Plinski opened the public hearing at 7:00 p.m. Present were Mayor Plinski, Councilmember
Schmidt, Councilmember White, Councilmember Hubbard, Councilmember Harp, Councilmember
Kramer, Gail Kiesz, Police Chief Coubra, PWD Webster, Maintenance Worker Williams, Julie Williams,
Patty Jarschke, Kennet Bertelson of USKH and Terrie Crosby.
Mayor Plinski reviewed the proposed 2013 budget for the public, asking for comments or questions.
The public offered no comments or questions.

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Plinski called the meeting to order immediately following the public hearing. Present were

were approved and carried upon a motion by Councilmember Kramer, seconded by Councilmember

Chief Coubra reported on departmental activities. She reported that the recent burglaries have been

PWD Webster reported on departmental activities and that the fire hydrant repair is near completion.
He reported that Gerald Greenwalt has been hired for the maintenance position and will be starting
December 19, 2012.

Frank White will be attending a QUADCO meeting November 29, 2012.
Councilmember Harp reported that an ADA lift may also be needed for the slide pool, which she is
waiting to heart form Dept. of Health on the final decision. One lift is necessary for the large pool, which
the Friends of the Pool have would be donating $2,000.00 towards.
Clerk-Treasurer Linda Burghard will be retiring at the end of the year, with Gail Kiesz then to take the
position. As of January 1, 2013, Burghard will be removed from Town banking activity and Gail Kiesz will
then be placed on Town banking activities, upon a motion approved and carried by Councilmember
Harp, seconded by Councilmember Kramer.
Mayor Plinski introduced Kennet Bertelsen of USKH, who explained the six-year water plan to the
Council and public. He added that the draft plan will be given to the WA Dept. of Health for review by
October 23, 2013.
Mayor Plinski reported that the Town did not receive the grant for the Fourth Ave. street project, so
plans are to patch the street. He also reported that the Town has not yet heard on Fifth Ave. street
Discussion of the 2013 final proposed budget was held.
With no further matters to discuss, Mayor Plinski adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
