Dear Parents/Carers, 22nd October, 2012
Home, School Agreement: We are sending out a document today alongside this newsletter which is our
home/school agreement. We would like all parents/carers to read this with their child and keep a copy of it to
remind the children of the behaviour we all agree to. This is reviewed annually so if there is anything on the
agreement that you do not agree with or have any query about, please do not hesitate to contact school.

Book Fayre: During the Tuesday evening, the Book Fayre will be open in the school so your children can purchase
a book at that point if they have not done so already. Please bear in mind that school will benefit from any
purchase you make and this money will go towards restocking our new library.

Book week: As you will know, today is the start of our Book week and we shall be having our ‘Character dressing
up’ day on Friday. We are asking for a £1 donation on this day which will go towards purchasing more books for
our school library. As aforementioned please can we ask that children do not bring any items to school that can be
seen as violent e.g. guns/light sabres etc. We are trying to nurture a calm environment for the children and
bringing such items to school does cause problems for us. We appreciate your support with this.

Tesco prize: As mentioned before, two of the new School Council representatives were selected to receive the
gifts from Margaret Becket, Molly and Callum, pictured below, were a real credit to our school.

School Toilet: We are struggling with the Disabled toilet in our corridor at present as it keeps leaking –
intermittently. To err on the side of caution, it is out of use at the moment until it is sorted, Please bear this in
mind when collecting your children from school

With regards,
Mrs Atwal
