ARE YOU JUST TOO BUSY TO GO TO THE
               UPPER ROOM

                                       Apostle Axel Sippach

ARE YOU JUST TOO BUSY TO GO TO THE UPPER ROOM: Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians
15:6 that over 500 disciples saw Jesus after His resurrection. Do you remember how many
showed up in the Upper Room? Only 120. We can speculate that the other 380 may also heard
directly or indirectly the instructions of Jesus, but must have just been too busy with other
commitments to obey. Kind of the same today, isn't it? But for those 120 who pressed through to
make their way - they are about to experience the ride of their life.

Now the Scriptures tell us that even Jesus mother was counted among the 120. Sorry my
Catholic friends, she hadn't been a virgin for a long time - she needed top be filled with the Spirit
just like the rest of the disciples. It's interesting that God seems to go out of His way in the
Scriptures to let us know she was there with her sons, Jesus brothers.

EXPECTATION: Now these 120 were in that Upper Room waiting for Promise of the Father -
the Holy Spirit Who would empower them. They knew Jesus had never lied to them and so they
waited, and waited, and waited - but with great expectation that something was going to happen,
even though they didn't exactly know how it was going to happen and how they would be
affected.

But then the SUDDENLIES of God came. Jesus fulfilled His promise. They would never be the
same. And just a few minutes later, filled, and drunk in the Spirit, they hit the streets. Already
thousands are running in their direction because they heard the "BOOM." A 3 minute message
from Peter gets 3,000 saved. God puts the "pedal to the metal" and the church is born "peeling
rubber." Talk about momentum!

DON'T MISS OUT: And what an experience the 120 had! One they could never forget. And
because they obeyed, they had an absolutely incredible encounter with God. The 380 missed out
on the initial experience. I want to say prophetically, that in this year 2013, it is so important for
you to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right people, doing the right thing. It is
imperative to hear the voice of the Lord and to obey. It will determine whether you are counted
with the 120 or the 380.
