Company Description
Bennett Brothers Development, L.L.C. began developing Real Estate in 1983. It
has, over the last 19 years, successfully completed the development of 8
subdivisions consisting of 1069 Residential lots, and a 17-acre C-2 commercial
development of which 12 acres was sold and a 52,000 square foot shopping
center was kept and is owned and operated by Bennett Brothers. In addition,
during this time we developed a 625,000 square foot self-storage facility
consisting of 8 locations on 46 acres throughout St. Tammany that we own and
operate. This is the largest storage facility in St. Tammany. Four additional
facilities are currently under development that will add an additional 438,000
square feet. The Pelican Athletic Club, a 79,000 square foot multi purpose health
club on 15 acres, was completed in 1996 and now boasts over 12,000 members.
Bennett Brothers are the majority owner of this facility. We currently employ
over 160 people at these various companies.
Job Qualifications
We are looking for someone who may be seeking an employment opportunity
with my company. I am the owner of four businesses in St. Tammany Parish,
one of which is a large, multi-facility storage business. We are looking for a
programmer to develop custom software that emulates our business plan.
Utilizing the new availability of reliable high speed Internet access, I hope to set
up a web based software at satellite facilities and have the information entered
at those satellite facilities processed at a central location where a server resides
with a custom program that will process billing, credit card processing,
automatic debits, inventory, and accounts payable. There is no canned software
on the market for storage facilities that accomplishes these tasks. I believe there
is a market for this product because this type of centralization saves time and
therefore money. My goal is to develop this software and get it up and running
with only the necessary features to operate my business. During this time it can
be broken in and perfected. When it is functioning correctly, a serious inquiry
will be made to see if there is an interest in this program. I believe there is. If
so, a separate business will be started to market this software. Further
improvements will be made to the program to make it more flexible to a broader
market. Also, additional 'bells & whistles' will be added that will improve the
marketability of the software. If you have an interest in seeking employment as
a software developer, and you think you have the ability to write a program like
this, please email your resume to mpb@bbmini.com. I am ready to begin this
project as soon as possible. If you have any questions, you can contact Mrs. Niki
Martin at 985-893-3087.
