Excuses Event in 2012 and formed a joint venture using mini events for
listbuilding. At the time, he had generated 12,000 leads in 3 months, now at
5 months he is up to 15,000 leads.
I was fascinated by his numbers and enthusiasm because anyone in the
internet marketing business knows that listbuilding is crucial to your
business. You need the ability to generate a large number of leads. It is a
numbers game and the more leads you have the better the chances of being
able to promote and sell your products and services, as long as you build
trust in your list. I jumped into the pre-launch, purchased the playbook and
software and became a member of Ken's exclusive Skype Traffic Ninja
Playbook & Mini Events group.
I attended Matt Lloyd's the "Add The Nitrous" event in San Diego and had

There are 2 ways to participate in a mini-event:

2) Participating
My preference is to start as a host because it gives you a clear picture of the
overall process of the mini event concept. However, it is your choice which
way you want to start. The important thing is to pick either one and take
action.
Hosting A Mini Event-Overview-Decide the following points to
consider. You will be taken to a step by step section to complete the
process.
A) Size of your event- A mini-event can have 4, 8, 10 or whatever
amount of contributors desired. It can be a 50 click event, 75, 100,
500 click event. It depends upon what level you prefer.
B) Rules-Decide your rules for your mini event.
C) Prizes you want to offer- Cash prizes ranging from $10 to $500 or
any preferred choice depending upon the event. 50 solo ad run or a
100 solo ad run to the winner.
D) Prizes can be given for highest number of clicks contributed, or
highest conversion rate...these are examples.
E) Length of time to gather participant information-Usually 5-7 days.
F) Length of time the event will run-An event can run for 5-7 days,
depending upon the host and contributors. If new people are
involved who have small lists, this gives them a chance to generate
clicks. The host will grow his list and several contributors from
different niche markets create a low cost per lead. Everyone wins!
The host gets all the leads from each participant and the
participants collect potential leads from their free product.
G) Create your event by completing all of the necessary information
needed in the software. You will be completing information for
mainly 3 parts of your dashboard.
1. Event Tab-The main squeeze page or sales funnel is pre-created
in the software which leads to a free gift page. It is only a matter
filling in fields of information. When someone opts-in to the
main page, they are taken to a gift page which displays images
and download links to each of the participant's gifts.

H) Post and promote your event to seek contributors who will provide
a link to a free product they are prepared to give away such as an
eBook or a useful marketing tool.

J) Submit the 3 submitted parts from each participant into the portal
of your software on the participants page.
K) When you fill out the participants page, the software will create 2
tracking links. The main tracking link is for your squeeze page and
you need to give each participant their own unique URL to
promote during the event. The software will also create a link to
the leaderboard which keeps track of clicks and conversions. It is a
great idea to give your participants a link to the leaderboard so
they can follow along as the event progresses.
L) When you have completed all of the correct information in the
software, you will have access to 3 URL’s
1. Your main Squeeze Page URL
2. Gift Page URL
3. Leaderboard URL
Make sure the gift tracking link is inserted in the right participant
section of the software. See the last step.
M) Remind your participants the starting time and day.
N) Once the event begins, it is a matter of allowing time for the
participants to deliver their clicks.
O) A great idea is to create a mini Skype group for your event. It is a
great way to communicate with your participants and take care of
any concerns or questions the participants may have before,
during and after your event.
P) After the event is completed, post the results and award prizes to
the winners. This is a great time to give recognition to your
participants. This is a win-win situation. When everyone plays fair,
it can be enjoyable, fun, and profitable!
Contributing To A Mini Event
The host will post a mini event and you want to participate. You need to
submit 3 items to the host:
1) A URL to your capture page to your offer
2) A URL to a gift image
3) A short gift description

A) You need to create a capture page which has an opt-in form
connected to an autoresponder. You can use Optimize Press,

C) Once you create your squeeze page, it will have its own unique
URL which is what you will give to the host
2) URL to a gift image
A) There are a number of ways to create a URL for your image. Here is
one example of using your WordPress dashboard to generate a gift
URL. Assuming you have a WordPress blog, it is easy to generate any
URL you need in your media library.
B) Another method is to use free internet services such as Google Drive
or Photo Bucket. If you do not know this skill, you may need to watch
some tutorials or get one on one help.
3) A short gift description
A) Gift Description-This is the easiest part. Create a short, powerful gift
description that matches your image which is compelling so a user
wants to download your gift.

squeeze page which has an opt-in box connected to your
autoresponder. If you don’t have a paid squeeze page program, a free

4) Once you have your preparation done and all 3 items are ready to
submit:
1) Find a Mini-Event
Be sure you can deliver the clicks the host is requesting. For example
if you want to enter a 50 click event, you need to deliver 50 clicks so if
you do not have a list large enough to provide the clicks, you will have
to purchase a solo ad. You need to refer to the Purchasing Solo Ad
Section in this eBook.
2) Review the Rules of the Event and be sure you can meet the
criteria.
3) Contact the host that you are interested
4) Submit your information to the host-The process is much easier if
you have your three items ready. Copy and paste your links and
description in an easy to fine place, such as notepad. Some hosts
have forms they want filled out, so one place where all your
information is noted will make it easier for you.
If you set it up like this in a notepad, it is very easy to provide
everything to your host effectively.

5) The host should send you two links. The first one is the tracking
URL. This URL will have a three digit number at the end and is the
link to the host’s main squeeze page which is directed to the event
gift page. When someone opts-in to the squeeze page, they will be
taken to a gift page which will list all of the gifts from all the
participants in that particular event, including yours.

6) The second link is a link to the leaderboard so you can watch the
event as it unfolds.
7) Your job is to promote the link and the best way is to purchase a
solo ad. The solo vender will submit a swipe ad you create to his/or
her list to generate the clicks.
8) Once the event begins, it is only a matter of waiting until the
completion of the event.
9) At the end of the event, be sure to thank the host.
10) If you fulfill your click obligations it will help your reputation as
a participant and other hosts will be glad to have you participate in
their events.
