VERIZON INTEGRATED ACCESS SERVICE
Type of Change:
Verizon Integrated Access Service will provide customers with SONET-based fiber access local
loop transport. The Verizon Integrated Access Service will utilize the Nortel Networks
AccessNodeTM Remote Fiber Terminal, utilizing the FCOT-RFT interface.
The interface between the Verizon network and the Nortel Networks AccessNode Remote Fiber
Terminal is described in the following document:

confirm the availability of Verizon Integrated Access Service, contact the Verizon Product
Manager listed below.
Locations changes are to occur:
Verizon intends to offer Verizon Integrated Access Service in New York in the second quarter of
2001. Verizon intends to also introduce Verizon Integrated Access Service in Massachusetts,
New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia in 2001.
Reasonably foreseeable impact of change:
CPE vendors who are interested in providing CPE for this service will need to meet the interface
requirements listed above.
