in the venture capital and private equity community.
WHO: The Young Private Capitalists, a committee of the CVCA, is dedicated
to fostering relationships among the next generation of professionals
SILVER SPONSORS working in all aspects of venture capital and private equity investing in
Canada. Our goal is to organize numerous networking events that will
attract representation from a cross-section of Canada’s most elite firms.
WHAT: The YPC Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament and Networking
Event. Join your peers from the investment community for a great evening
of networking, poker and pool. There will be finger foods and drinks
served and prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers in the poker
tournament.
For those interested in attending the event please fill out the attached
registration form and indicate whether or not you wish to participate in the
poker tournament. If you play in the poker tournament there will be a $45
registration fee, otherwise there will be no charge.
Space for the poker tournament is limited so registration will initially
be limited to two individuals per company. Registrants above two
per company or who submit their form after the maximum number of
tournament participants has been reached will be placed on a waiting list
and contacted if space becomes available.
WHERE & WHEN: Wedneday, November 7, 2012 at The Charlotte Room
(www.charlotteroom.com) located at 19 Charlotte St (near Adelaide and
Spadina) from 6:30 p.m. onwards. Note – tournament starts at 7 p.m. sharp.
WHY: There is an unmet need for an organized networking community
within the non-partner ranks of Canada’s Venture Capital and Private
Equity community. To that end, the mandate of the YPC is to co-ordinate
social networking events that will facilitate the development of a strong
community for the next generation of professionals involved in venture
capital and private equity investing in Canada.
