-All Prep for Yom Kippur
-Invite and confirm with guests
-Shop for remainder of sukkah needs (e.g. lights, schach, décor, furniture)
-Have a plan for lulav/etrog
-Shopping complete for necessary food and ingredients (except meat/dairy/produce needed fresh)
-Shopping: clothing for each child, clothing/tichel for me, long-burning candle, paper goods
-Haircuts as needed

Motzei Shabbat
-Break the fast with malave malka
-Begin sukkah construction (at least symbolically—from one mitzvah to the next!)

-Set up sukkah walls and schach
-Hang sukkah lights
-Bring out table for inside
-Set up table outside sukkah (washing and storage)
-Set up garbage can near sukkah
-Pick up lulav and etrog and check
-Clean living room and dining room
-Fresh food shopping
-Check guest room and finish setting up (sheets, towels, a bottle of water, etc.)
-Food prep: make and freeze kugels, meats, challah, and desserts

-Special sukkah décor project with kids
-Hang sukkah decorations
-Find machzor for everyone and set aside
-Sukkot prep with kids: what they can expect, review tefillot, etc.
-Clean the family room and straighten porch
-Check tablecloths/plastic lining supplies (6 meals without washing!)

-Extra Tzedaka
-Prepare washing station outside sukkah door
-Call family
-Set out serving pieces
-Recheck entryway, bathrooms, and common rooms
-Clean kitchen
     Do all dishes
     Clear off counters
     Wipe down counters, stovetop, and table
     Sweep and spot clean floor
     Shine sink!

    Vacuum/Sweep house
    Prep adult food – check off menu
    Kids food: pasta, chicken nuggets, thaw baby food, etc.
    Challah (bake/defrost)
    Put electronic toys up/off
    New clothing kids (and/or pjs, our personal tradition)
    Special game/toy for kids
    New clothing wife/adults (traditional to have something for shechechyanu 2nd night)
    Babysitting arranged if needed
    Set out Machzorim (Sukkot prayer book)
    Eruv tavshillin (when Shabbat falls 2nd day/immediately after Sukkot)
    Bathe
    Tape lights as needed (guests?)
    Check lulav and etrog
   

Last minute items:
    Set lights
    Unscrew fridge light bulbs
    Set Shabbat Clock
    Set blech/hotplate/crockpot (timers, too)
    Plug in hot water urn
    Check dishwasher and oven: off
    Set table with challah
    Set out Kiddush cups
    Prep candles
    Light a long-burning candle (so you have fire to “transfer!”)
