Girl Power: The Women of Empower
If you’ve been following my blog the past few days, you’ll know that I had an amazing time last
weekend in Austin at the Empower Network Release Your Inner BadAss event.
(If you’ve been away for a while, you can catch up by clicking here to read about the event and

Sunday was the closing day of the event and appropriately featured a panel of the amazing
women of Empower Network.
In an industry that is dominated by men, it was really uplifting to see a group of successful
women marketers and leaders take over the stage and share their perspective on what it takes to
Introducing the Women of Empower
Ten female badasses took to the stage to discuss the things that
most impacted them in their lives. Among the women of
Empower Network are Tracey Walker, Layla Black, Susan
Beesley and Nicole Cooper. All of these women are among the top
income earners in Empower Network and are building successful
teams. Check out this short montage of some of the highlights from their discussion.

One of the great things about the panel of the women of Empower Network, is
how diverse the group is.
I mean, we had a ranges of ages, nationalities and backgrounds all sharing different perspectives
on how to be successful in this industry.
One of the messages that came through loud and clear among all of the women is that there is no
time and place for B.S. You have to be clear, results focused and have an unwavering
determination to be successful.
Tracey Walker and Layla Black are two of the women of Empower Network with the biggest
teams. Tracey spoke about what it would take to sponsor her in a business. I, for one, appreciated
hearing her talk about results.
At the end of the day, that is what people are looking for...can you produce? When people are
looking to join a team, they are looking for someone who can help them get to where the want to
get in their business. And that’s the top priority.
Layla Black spoke a bit about competition among women. And her point, is that competition
mindset is really a reflection of you...who you are and where you are in your own mindset.
The truth of the matter is, is that we are all creators. And if we can focus our attention on creating
our realities and lifting one another up, we will find success and help others find success.
Finally, I was super inspired to hear Susan Beesley of the United Kingdom speak about having
strength in your convictions. Whenever you are trying to step outside the norm and stretch
yourself, there are always going to be people who tell you you can’t do it...or you shouldn’t do
it...or you will fail or embarrass yourself. But you just have to have the strength to know your
own mind and follow your own path. She did, and found herself standing alongside her husband
holding a check for $78,500.
