The Townsville Motorcycle Club, hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct a Zone Meeting Event for senior riders in Lites,
Opens, Veterans & Womens classes and Junior Riders in Junior Lites, Mini Lites, 65cc & 50cc classes at Lang Park, Woodstock, on
17 & 18 November 2012.
2.1. The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling Queensland who has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit
Number TBA and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia Senior and Junior National, club, mini and One meeting
Licences. NB Juniors must have MQ Logbooks and have completed 5 hours of training to be eligible for a One Meeting Licence.
This Meeting is restricted to full financial members of a Northern Zone Club and must be able to produce a membership
2.2. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current Manual of Motorcycle Sport General Competition Rules (GCR’s) , these
Supplementary Regulations, and any Final Instructions approved by Motorcycling Queensland.
BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND

In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Promoter -, if
such retention is approved by Motorcycling Queensland.
3.3. Only entries received on the official Entry Form that is accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted. No phone or fax entries
will be accepted (BY MAIL ONLY) and must be sent to the Race Secretary PO Box 644 Deeragun 4818 – not to the club.
Entry numbers are restricted. Nominations will be accepted in order of being received in the mail and riders will be advised as
soon as possible if classes are full and if they are to go on to a reserve list.
NOTE: - Late Entries – those received after the closing date will only be accepted if accompanied by a $40 late fee.
3.4 A refund of entry fees will only be made if the Race Secretary is notified 48hours prior to the event so reserve riders (if
any in that class) can be notified.
3.5 Riders seeking One Meeting Licences must state on their nomination form that a One Meeting Licence is required.
4.1. National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability.
4.2. Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees.
4.3. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS
5. MEDICAL SERVICES:
Medical Officers/QAS will be in attendance from the start of practice until 15 minutes after the last race.

6.2. Payment by Cheque/Money Order only. (Do not send cash). ANY FEES FOR DISHONOURED CHEQUES WILL BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT.
6.3. Cheques and Money Orders are to be made payable to the Townsville Motorcycle Club Inc – not to the Race Secretary.
6.4. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if receipt or confirmation of entry is required. If this is not included no
confirmations will be posted out.

9.1 Hayden Pittman Memorial Race will be a one off endurance race for chosen riders from all senior classes – to be held following the
last round on Sunday afternoon - Riders will be chosen on top 20 place getters from Open and Lites Championship Classes with
remanding grid positions for invited riders from senior classes. A peg draw will determine starting positions and race will be on the open
motocross track and will be 20 minutes plus one lap - All riders will be notified of eligibility prior to event –overall prize money for feature
race 1st $300 + Trophy, 2nd $200, 3rd $100. Other prizes and trophies at Organisers discretion. Prize giving to be held at canteen following
last race of day.
ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS:
10.1. To constitute a Class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each Class shall be 10.
10.2 Should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel the Class, or to combine events
and re-distribute any awards and / or prizemoney, will be at the discretion of the club, subject to Motorcycling Queensland
11 RACE FORMAT:
Saturday Programme -3 Rounds– Lites & Open Championship Classes – 5 Laps natural terrain mx track/dirt track combination.
-All other classes – 4 lap’s natural terrain mx track/dirt track combination (Div. 1 & 2 will have shortened track)
Sunday Programme -2 Rounds on Natural Terrain MX track –All classes 5 laps + MX Feature Race for invited seniors to be held following
last race of Round 3.
12 MACHINES AND RIDERS:
12.1. All machines entered must comply with the current GCR’s for Motocross Competition.
12.2. Multiple entry of the one Machine in the same Class of Competition is not permitted.
12.3. Change of machine may be permitted if submitted in writing to the Clerk of Course/Race Secretary at least 10 minutes prior to
the start of the event in which the substitution is requested. Substitute machine must have passed machine examination and be
eligible for the class and replace a machine that cannot be reasonably repaired.
13 RIDING NUMBERS:
13.1. Wherever possible, competitors will be allocated their Registered Riding Number or their preferred Riding Number. All others will
be allocated numbers at the clubs discretion.
13.2. All Number Plates on all Machines MUST comply with the GCR’s.
13.3 PLEASE NOTE Back numbers are compulsory for both junior and senior competitors in this event, failure to wear a back number
may result in a competitor being stopped from competing until they comply or they will not be awarded any points. Back numbers
that correspond to the machine number must be shown at machinery.
14 GRID POSITIONS:
Will be allocated by peg draw.
15 RIDERS BRIEFING:
A Riders Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing and ALL Competitors MUST attend the Riders Briefing. RIDERS
BRIEFING IS A NON SMOKING AREA. Riders Briefing will be conducted in the pits 15 minutes after sign-on closes on Saturday and
Sunday morning before practice starts.
16 DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING:
16.1 All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any
competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency.
16.2 If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors telephone the Drugs in Sport Hotline 1800 020506.
When drug testing takes place, the payment of prizemoney may be delayed at Motorcycling Queensland discretion until the
results of the tests are known.
17 CODE OF CONDUCT:
All Competitors, Officials and Parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the
GCR’s) which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all Motorcycle Race Meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting
and will be enforced.
SATURDAY – Machinery – 0700am. RIDERS BRIEFING- 0815. PRACTICE-0830 – Racing to follow immediately after.
SUNDAY – Machinery – 0800am. RIDERS BRIEFING – 0830am. PRACTICE- 0845am – Racing to follow immediately after.
For the purposes of drug & alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 0700am Saturday with the
completion of the meeting for the participant being when the participant has vacated the venue.
19 CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
Saturday – Racing in an anti-clockwise direction, track is approx. 2200m long – starting on the mx track and completing a lap of the dirt
track and finishing on the mx track.
Sunday – Open terrain mx track is approx. 1450m long of natural earth and sand mix, racing in an anticlockwise direction.
40 self-penalising gates. No more than 40 riders per class will be accepted.
There will be three (3) laps of practice for each class on both days – classes may be combined to minimize time delays.

The Goods and Services Tax affects the payment of prize money. If you do not provide an ABN or declare the sport is a hobby, the
Promoter must withhold 48.5% of prize money over $50.00 which is otherwise payable to you. Please tick one of the boxes on the
entry form and if appropriate provide your ABN to ensure the full amount of prize money is paid to you.
24. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS:
1. Junior Lites may be combined if insufficient entries are received but scored separately.
2. Mini Lites classes may be combined if insufficient entries are received but scored separately.
3. The age of junior competitors will be the age as at 1st January. Competitors may choose to move up an age group after their

CAMPING IS NOT PERMITTED INSIDE DIRT TRACK ON FRIDAY NIGHT – ANYONE USING THIS AREA TO CAMP ON
FRIDAY NIGHT WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE AREA PRIOR TO SATURDAYS RACING.
8. PRESENTATIONS will take place 20 minutes after the conclusion of the final feature race in the area surrounding the canteen.

I/we acknowledge that the entrant is bound by and subject to the rules and policies of MA, including, without limitation, the MA anti-doping policy.
16. IN CONSIDERATION of the entrant being accepted as a participant in the Meeting I/WE HEREBY INDEMNIFY AND RELEASE the Indemnitees in the same manner and to the same effect as if I/WE were the
