It is a consumer group whose main aim is to promote choices in childbirth, in the hospital delivery room, birthing suites and centres, and at home. We wish to widen the range of natural childbirth alternatives and make homebirth more accessible by providing an efficient and reliable information and support system. (1) Community midwifery programmes – Homebirth service. (2) Pregnancy and childbirth information and Resource Centre. Natural childbirth classes, ongoing women‟s group, information and resources centre staffed by registered midwives committed to helping women and their families make informed choices. Library – books and videos available for loan - $10 refundable deposit. Family & Children‟s Services arranges and pays for the burial of any person who dies destitute and whose body is unclaimed. The Incest Survivor‟s Association provides one-on-one and group counselling services to persons over age 14, who are or were victims of incest or child sexual abuse, their parents, partners, and others. The Association‟s aims include educating and informing the community and other professionals as to the nature and effects of incest and child sexual abuse on the victim, the offender, the family and the community; the reinforcement of positive attitudes towards children and their families. Advocacy group concerned about the rate of deaths amongst prisoners in the WA Criminal Justice System. Advocates for law reform and improved support services particularly focussed on Aboriginal issues and the 339 recommendations of the RCIADYC. Fieldworkers provide ongoing support in the home, for lone fathers with children. The Kid‟s Place program aims to provide coping skills and support for primary school aged children whose parents are separated or divorced. It is a six week group for children; three parent sessions are also a component of the program. Topics included in the kid‟s group are: problem solving, dealing with anger and relaxation techniques. Helping men to find solutions and manage relationship breakdown including Survival Skills for separated and divorced men covering the practical issues of separation and Getting Through Separation and Divorce involves in-depth exploration of emotional issues. Youth Focus is a non-government agency providing support, education and personal development services to young people at risk (drug, alcohol, physical or sexual abuse, criminal, suicidal or self destructive behaviour). Services include: camps; support groups; counselling; a drop-in facility; parent support and many other services. The main focus of the program is to provide young people with strategies, information and support so that they may resolve the situations themselves.

The Compassionate Friends is a non-religious self-help group for bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. For country contacts throughout WA and for interstate contacts, please contact Centre. Meeting second Monday of the month at 2 Dehli Street, West Perth. This counselling service is for people who are concerned about their relationships. It is available for individuals, couples or families and includes those who: have difficulties in their partner relationships; have difficulties in other relationships including work, friendships and extended family; wish to grow and understand themselves better; want help coming to terms with loss or grief; are thinking of separating; have separated and want to build a new life; are thinking about re-marriage after divorce or death of a partner; want to improve their parenting; are experiencing difficulties in a stepfamily situation; are wondering whether to get married; are experiencing major lifestyle changes, e.g. redundancy, retirement; are experiencing violence in the family. Metropolitan counselling centres are located in West Perth, Gosnells, Joondalup and Rockingham while country areas are catered for in Albany, Dampier, Karratha and Kununurra. The Commonwealth Attorney General‟s Department and the Commonwealth Department of Family & Community Services approve Kinway. To provide or assist other agencies to provide sexuality education, HIV / AIDS education, counselling and consultancy to people who have a disability, their friends, families and carers.
