Truphone’s new Android application updated to operate on Google’s new device

LONDON – 22 January 2010 — Hot on the heels of the release of Truphone’s
VoIP enabled Truphone for Android application earlier this month, Truphone, the
next generation global mobile operator, today announces that it is the first
company to provide Wi-Fi calling on the Nexus One device from Google.

Following collaboration with Google, Truphone is pleased to announce that from
today Truphone for Android is compatible with the Nexus One.

In addition to compatibility with the Nexus One, the update (version 3.0.2),
ensures compatibility with the T-Mobile Pulse, meaning that Truphone is now Wi-
Fi compatible with a total of five Android devices (see original release for list)

Karl Good, Director of Applications for Truphone said: “Google has been very
helpful in working with the Truphone team to allow us to provide our award-
winning solution to the growing number of Nexus One owners. Once again it is a
testament to Truphone that we are the first to be able to offer this technology to

Notes to editors
1. Calls can be made outside of Wi-Fi using ‘Truphone Anywhere’ in 33 countries around the
world, saving Android users from those countries money on international calls made from
their home country. The easy-to-use service works alongside domestic service providers, but
reduces international call costs to as little as £0.03/$0.06 [UK/RoW] per minute.

2. Unlike a ‘calling card’, Truphone Anywhere doesn’t require a user to remember what to do.
Whenever an international number is dialled Truphone Anywhere simply asks whether he/she
wants to make a Truphone call. The user simply accepts, and Truphone connects the call.

About Truphone
Founded in 2006, Truphone is a global mobile communications provider in the business of
innovating how people converse in our globally connected world. As the industry's first mobile
Internet operator, the company makes it easy and affordable for users all over the world to keep
in touch with friends, family and business contacts overseas or whilst roaming.

According to Frost & Sullivan, "Truphone has been able to differentiate its products from those of
its competitors due to the immense commitment it has made in research and development and by
having strategic partnerships with major industry participants across the mobile ecosystem. As a
result, it has successfully enabled the firm to address its customers' needs and expectations,
resulting in Truphone being a dominant player in the mVoIP market."

Truphone’s heritage in mobile internet telephony, developing apps for Nokia, iPhone, iPod touch,
BlackBerry and Android devices, means that unlike other operators, it has never been restricted
by national borders. It believes that its customers should enjoy local rates, rather than inflated
roaming rates, anywhere that Truphone has established operations.

Truphone has applied this philosophy to the launch of its new Truphone Local Anywhere™ SIM
card which gives international travellers the convenience of a single SIM card to access local
rates for calls, text and data, both when they are at home or away.

Truphone is the trading name of Software Cellular Network (SCN) Ltd. SCN is privately owned,
funded by both venture capital investment and angel investors.
